Chapter 52

*julius pov. Mostly because julius is the best father of all lol.*

I stared at Velie. She was to strong even without everything. With her army at least. Before her next round at fighting I held up my hand. "As a second chance. I'll be replacing Velie with someone who has already lost. As for Velie Uniqa. You are to fight on your own. I'll allow you to use one of your 'objects'" I declared. Velies eyes widened. "Any?" She asked. "Yes" I replied. She looked around. Her eyes met mine. "No. I'll keep fighting by myself just like this" she said. I smiled. That was just like her. Just like the little girl I raised.

I sat there and watched the little girl run around the yard chasing a doll she made fly around with her magic. She had the brightest smile on her face. Her blue hair flowing behind her. Her green eyes sparkling in the sun. The people who worked in the castle walked by and smiled at the little girl. Some of the people would give off small laughs at the adorable little girl. She caught the doll and looked at the window I was standing at. I smiled and she smiled back. She waved her hand giggling. She ran into the building. I shook my head at the little girl. I walked to my desk and sat down. I noticed her grimore sitting in the corner of the room. For an odd reason she rarely used it. The door opened and Velie was there. "Julius!" She exclaimed hugging me. "Can we go train!?" She asked excited. "Yes. we can train. Are you going to use your grimore?" I asked. She shook her head no. "I rather strengthen my magic on my own! I dont want to be strong with just the book! I want to protect you and this kingdom! So I'll fight for just that!" She exclaimed. I pay her head and gave her a hug. "If you say so flower" I said in return. She giggled. "Flowerrrrrr!" she called out as she turned her grip in the hug. I couldnt help but smile.

I gave a nod. "Of course. If you lose you lose. No second chances" I mentioned. "Don't need one" she replied. Everyone looked rather shocked I was really going to let her fight by herself to protect and destroy at the same time. But I trusted her. She was to determined to give up.

The next battle began and it was Velie against Astas group. This was complicating. That group was very strong. Not to mention if Velie was magic itself. Would she be able to outlast Astas anti-magic. Velie summoned her soldiers and shrunk the crystial to a small object. She hid it and made her soldiers protect it. All 100 of them. Velie grabbed the sword of one of the soldiers. She held it as she used Spacial magic to get there. She swung at Mimosas protective plant wall. The sword not cutting through. I watched as Velie took on three people. Velie couldn't keep up with the attacks of the three opponents. She shook as she tried to get up. She wipped blood from her mouth.

"Checkmate" Velie said. She had a smirk. Just then the crystal blew up. She shielded herself and the others with walls since the blast would have hurt them. She dropped the cracked walls and limped towards her crystal in the distance. The three others stood in shock. They thought they had defeated her but I knew all to well what she did. While taking hits she had been overflowing the crystal with her own mana. It got to overwelemed and exploded. Even if she was getting beat up she still managed to complete her objective. I felt tears flow from my eyes from how proud I was.

The last battle was about to begin. Yunos team against Velie. I wasn't sure Velie could handle anymore. She made eye contact with me again. I gave her a smile. Velie turned and kept her crystal in her hand. She hid it again and the match started. She summonded her armies and sent them to try and destroy Yunos team crystal. Velie sat down on a rock and started to heal herself the best she could.

Yunos team was destroying the demons she sent. Soon they were standing not to far away from Velie. She stood up on the rock. "No hard feelings right?" She asked. "Of course not" Yuno replied. He then sent an massive attack at her using his wind spirit. Velie was tossed so far back yet she caught herself. She flew back but was attacked by the team. She laid on the ground beaten up. She closed her eyes. Velie had passed out. I was still so proud of her even if Yunos team had destroyed her crystal and won. Yuno ran over to Velie after destroying her crystal. He kneeled by her and put her head in his hands. He seemed genuinely worried for her. I went down there and ran over. "Is she okay?" I asked. Yuno shook his head. "I can't tell" Yuno said. Asta came over. "Yuno did you have to hurt her that bad!" Asta yelled. "She told me not to hold back" Yuno replied. "Couldn't you see she wasn't able to fight! You didn't have to hurt her so bad when she was so tired!" Asta continued. "Do you think I purposely hurt her! I was doing what she asked!" Yuno started to yell back. It shocked everyone. No ones ever heard Yuno yell or even seen him get upset. At least not in a long time for some people. "Please stop fighting. I'm fine" Velie said gripping onto Yunos shirt. Her body was trembling badly. "Thanks for not holding back on me Yuno" she said. Yuno seemed to calm down and hugged her tightly. "Velie! You were so cool! I'm sorry you didn't win! But you definatly proved you can stand on your own!" Asta complimented. Velie smiled at Asta. "You did great to" she said. "Thank you!" Asta replied. Velie looked at Noelle. "You were so strong. Im so proud of you Noelle!" Velie exclaimed at the end. Even if it was hard for her to. Noelle gave a blush and looked away. "That's right praise me" she muttered. Velie looked at me. "I think these belong to you. Ciel gave them to me in case he couldn't make it today" I said. I put the box in her lap. She smiled and looked at the box. "I'm so proud of you Velie" I added. She had tears. "Yeah I know" she replied.
