"Frankie?"
I didn't need to turn around. I could recognise his voice anywhere. It was deep, soft and very British.
I turned around.
"Hello drew." I say.
"I was hoping I'd run into you. I really need to ask you something." He replied.
"Well here I am." I state obviously.
"Yeah...um so, I was wondering...only if you wanted to...it wouldn't have to be a date or anything..unless you wanted it to be! Which would be ok also..." he mumbled.
"Oh Drew for gods sake! Spit it out!" I say aggravated. He has been avoiding me all week then tried to confront me this afternoon like nothing has happened. Now he's mumbling gibberish and it's getting on my last nerve!
He took a massive breath in: "I was wondering if you wanted to go to the formal with me?!" he asked, actually screamed is a bit more appropriate to say.
"What formal?" i managed to chock out, a bit flabbergasted.
"The seniors formal, in like two weeks....it's ok if you don't want to go with me...I have wanted to ask you all week. My perivious date ditched me last weekend, so...." he rambled.
"Ok." I cut him off.
"...i don't know if you already- wait, ok? Ok what?" he stammered.
"Ok, I will go with you." i clarified.
"To the formal..." he questioed.
"To the formal."
"With me?"
"With you." I say with a smile. Why is this gorgeous guy was so nervous asking a girl to a formal.
"Ok. With me. Ok. I'll see you then. At the formal?" He double checked.
"Yes. At the formal. With you. As a date." Then before he could clarify with me again I kissed him on the cheek and walked after Kate and Jess up stairs.
"What was all that about?" Jess asked in her half drunk state.
"Drew just asked Frankie to the fooooormal. Actually he sort of screamed at her. It was a bit frightening." Kate slurred. Definatly took some shot while I was gone.
"Aww that is so cute! Hang on...I don't have a date...I SHALL FIND ONE!" Jess announced.
Kate laughed, "You do that love. You've got just about two weeks. Speaking of, we should go dress shopping next weekend!"
"Gosh do you Britt's always leave these things to the last minute?" I ask, as we enter a game of truth or dare.
"Pretty much." Kate and jess say simultaneously.
