" LET MY CHILD TAKE YOUR DOG!"

So basically, I'm sixteen. I have a disability, I cannot walk, and I have a wheelchair. I also have blood problems, anxiety, bone problems, and much more. That leads to me having a service dog. I've had two service dogs, I got my first wheelchair and dog when I was 8. The dogs retire fast enough, and I still have my first service dog, but retired. I go to school by myself, and my dog. That day, me, my mom, and my dog, Cali, ( great pyrenees ) went out shopping, We went to the mall, and a couple of other places. My mom was pushing me through the mall, (I usually don't want/need somebody to push my wheelchair, but the floor was rough and my arms were not strong enough to push it across myself. ) and a little boy said " DOGGY! MOMMY! MOMMY! PUPPY! LOOK HOW CUTE!" He squeezes his moms arm (EM, Boy is EC ) Em- Go pet it! Look how cute!
This happens way to much to even explain. But usually, the mother sees the HUGE " DO NOT PET ME, I AM WORKING FOR HER!" sign on her vest. About half of the vest is two big signs that say exactly that, and Moms will say " No, that's a service dog," or often make their CHILD read the sign instead. But this mom must have been mentally blind, She saw the sign, I know, the child was probably 11. The child headed for my dog. Usually, when this happened, which wasn't much, I said, " Hey this is not your dog. Can you read that sign on the vest?" and they will read, and sometimes even apologize. My mom was in a store at the moment, I was right outside of it on my phone. The boy came running over, I had eavesdropped their conversation, but it didn't quite register in my mind yet. He had RAN over as fast as he could and said " OH CUTE LITTLE BABY!! OH SWEET LITTLE HOENYYY!!" I looked up from my phone. " No, I'm sorry, she's working, you can't pet her right now..." He said " Why is she working, you don't look blind." My anxiety got bad when Cali wasn't aware of me, as I could pass out any second. " I'm not blind, but I need the dog for medical problems, and that it was illegal to pet my dog." I sighed, as he was still petting my dog. I was impatiently waiting for my mom to come out, as she was in the store for about 15 minutes now. The mom slowly walked across the hall to the other side, where me and her son was. EM- Oh, how cute! What's its name?
Me- Her name is Cali, but I need your son to get away and stop petting her. She's working and should not be distracted like this.
EM- No, your dog is here. If you bring a dog in public, you probably want it petted.
Me- That's not how it works!
She was now petting Cali and wanted to push her away, but my patience was rather good that day.
EM- So what breed is she? My cousin is legally blind and mind need a dog like yours.
I was shocked. Legally blind? How stupid?
Me- PLEASE STOP PETTING MY DOG! ITS AGAINST THE LAW!
EC- I don't care about going to jail
Me- Ok idiots, I can call the police. And i'm not blind. And your cousin cannot get a service dog because he is legally blind,
EM- Bitch, you brought this dog in public. You want it petted,
My face was red. I was close to screaming, I didn't
Me- Get away from my fucking dog.
Cali tried to look back at me, extremely uncomfortable. I almost cried at the sight of her face like that.
EC- No, I think its my dog. This looks a lot like buddy, who ran away months ago.
I put my hand on my face.
Me- No, I'm sorry. This is not your dog. Get the hell away.
EC tries to TAKE THE LEASH FROM MY HAND!
EM- Come in buddy! We've been looking for you for so long.
I slapped the child's hand
Me- THIS IS NOT YOUR FUCKING DOG! I GOT HER AS A PUPPY! SHE IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD.
EM- Then where did our dog go?!
Me- I DONT FUCKING KNOW NOT MY PROBLEM!
EM- LET MY CHILD TAKE YOUR DOG!! ITS OURS ANYWAY
Ec grabs my leash, EM PUSHES MY WHEELCHAIR AWAY SO I LOSE GRIP OF THE LEASH
Me- HELP! HELP! THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE MY DOG!
My mom heard, and ran outside. By this time, EC had taken Cali, and tried to take her away, a couple of meters, but Cali refused to move any further.
Ec- Come on buddy!
My mom pushed EC away and grabbed Cali. She ran outside with Cali. Cali had known that Mom was an acceptable person to take her away, as an 11 yr old boy, was not.
EM- WHY WOULDN'T YOU LET US TAKE YOUR DOG!
Me-  WHY WOULD I????
I was screaming so loud, I bet mom could hear all the way through the mall and to the car. Later, I found out my mom had put Cali in the car to calm down and called the police.
Me- I NEED THE POLICE! I NEED THE POLICE!
Nobody came, as there aren't really Mall workers, only people who work in individual stores. I had made an escape attempt to just swipe my wheelchair right out to my mom.
Em grabbed the handles and pulled me back
EM- No, I need police assistance. You pushed my child away! THATS CHILD ABUSE!
Me- Oh so you not taking my dog isn't ANIMAL ABUSE?
We bickered more, then all of the sudden, here came 8 POLICE! 8 POLICE! And my mom, with Cali. The police walked over,p. Me and my Mom got questioned, and of course were not counted guilty. But guess who was? EM and EC. For attempted burglary, animal something something, and much more. So there it is. Conclusion- Don't be a fucking idiot!
