Your POV

I let out a delighted laugh as I spoke to Emma over the phone and gave her details of the small gathering tomorrow. "I'm excited to see you as well, I miss having someone to talk to about everything," I smiled. "Well, the missing ends tomorrow! Ethan and I will be there a little earlier than everyone else so we can have time to have little Anastasia all to ourselves," She spoke quickly, her usual talkative ways showing even over the phone. "I'm sure she'll love that. I'll see you tomorrow, Emma. Goodbye." I pressed the button to end the call before looking at the list of names beside the device and wondered who to call next. My eyes wandered down it until I realized I had called everyone except one person that I knew I would save for last. I sighed before I dialed the all too familiar number and pressed the phone between my ear and shoulder.

"Dolan residence." Grayson wasn't the one to answer the phone, but his butler. "Um, can I speak to Grayson please?" My voice shook as I spoke, its pitch a little higher than normal. "I'm afraid Mr.Dolan is busy at the moment. May I ask who's speaking and get him to call you at another time?" "It's Y/N." "Oh! Mrs.(Y/L/N), my apologies. I will get Mr.Dolan immediately." "If he's busy then I'll call later-" "No, don't worry about it, Mrs.(Y/L/N). I have strict orders for when you call, it will only take a moment." I didn't say anything as I heard shuffling before Grayson's raspy voice spoke from the other end. "Hello?" He asked. "Hey, it's Y/N." "Y/N! H-Hey. How are you?" Grayson stuttered. "I'm fine. And you?" I asked him. "I'm good. Is everything, okay?" "Yeah. Why do you ask?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "I didn't expect you to call so soon," He chuckled. "Oh." "But it's not like I didn't want you to! Because, trust me, I did and-" "Grayson, you're rambling," I giggled. He let out a breathy laugh and mumbled an apology. "I was calling to invite you to a small get together at my house tomorrow. Only if you want to come," I told him. "Really? Of course I want to come! What time?" I smiled at the excitement laced in his voice.

 Grayson's POV

"Grayson! It's good to see you here," Ethan embraced me into a hug after spotting me stepping into Y/N's home. "I hope you two are able to get back on good terms," he spoke in my ear and smiled once he stepped away. "Me too," I mumbled under my breath for only him to hear. "Where is she?" I asked him. He nodded for me to follow him so I did. As I walked, my eyes couldn't help but to wander around the house. It screamed Y/N. The walls were painted white with details of her favorite color. Patterns twisted and turned from the walls and floors and to the stairs, everything being very detailed and precise. There were pictures and paintings everywhere, many of them being of her daughter, whose laughter I could hear over the crowd. I smiled to myself at the sound, the little girl immediately reminding me of Y/N without even having to see her. I spotted Y/N in the midst of the small crowd, her daughter in her arms as they both smiled and laughed with the guests. "David won't be here for another hour or so," Ethan muttered in my ear before leaving me and taking his place beside his wife who was standing beside Y/N. Y/N watched Ethan as he walked to her, smiling at him before she looked behind him and at me. Her smile widened before she began waving me over. I let out a sigh and walked up to her. "Hi," I breathed out. "Hey," She spoke softly, giving me a side hug.

"Anastasia, this is mommy's friend, Grayson," She smiled at the little girl. My eyes finally tore away from Y/N's to look at her daughter. I tilted my head in confusion as to how much the girl resembled Y/N, but how little she resembled her father. Her hair was curly and she had y/c/e like Y/N's, but there was something about her that belonged to neither one of them. I decided to not worry about, and a warm smile spread across my face as the little girl waved at me. "Hello, Anastasia. It's a pleasure to meet you," I bent down to her level as Y/N set her down on her feet before shaking her smaller hand in mine. "Pleasures all mine," She spoke loudly as she stumbled over her words. I let out a chuckle before looking up at Y/N, her already smiling down at us. "My hair used to look like yours, but I cut it all off," I told her. "Mommy told me! She said your hair now makes you look silly, but she was fibbing," Anastasia cupped her hands around her mouth as she spoke the last part, but that didn't stop her mother from hearing. I let out a laugh as Y/N shook her head but giggled at the little girl. "I can tell we're gonna be great friends, Ana," I smiled at her. She smiled back before shyly grabbing onto Y/N's leg. "Oh, don't go all shy now," Y/N laughed and picked her up in her arms. I chuckled and stood up. "I'm glad you invited me," I spoke low, completely lost in our little moment. "And I'm glad you came."
