Chapter 2

Andrew and I grew closer over the years, we were now in middle school. Eighth grade to be specific. We were practically inseparable. We were always together. There was never a time you would see us apart. For a while I thought I had a crush on him. And half the school thought we were dating. Which of course both were wrong. I never completely understood what a crush was. I didn't know how I was supposed to feel around someone I had a crush on so I had assumed that the was I felt comfortable around Andrew was a crush. We joined the school musical. Which came and passed. We also added some new friends to our small group, of just me and him. We started to become closer with Leo, Andrea, Max, and Penny. Andrew and Penny got really close over the weeks of the show. They eventually started dating. It was a little awkward for me. I wasn't able t talk to anyone for a while. He didn't talk to me as much because he wanted to hang out with his girlfriend. Which is totally understandable but completely shattering for a person with no other friends. Leo, Max, and I never really talked without Andrew there because I was extremely socially awkward. Andrea on the other hand. We hung out on occasion, but not often. As the year progressed, Andrew and Penny broke up. We started our old pattern of always being together again but it was weird, weird because he had been gone for so long and I had become awkward around him again. He wasn't as easy to talk to as he used to be. Because I wasn't used to taking to him anymore.
