#38e: Shadow

Shadow is a (fake) fighter in the Super Smash Bros series, originally coming from the Sonic series. He is an echo fighter of Sonic.

Not fighting
Stage enter: Shadow Spin Dashes from the foreground and strikes a pose
Idle Stand: Shadow stands with his arms lazily at his sides
Idle 1: Shadow scratches the back of his head and neck lightly
Idle 2: Shadow angrily stomps his foot on the ground with his arms crossed
Up Taunt: He grumbles and swings a fist around him
Side Taunt: He kicks whilst doing a backwards somersault
Down Taunt: He runs in spot whilst exclaiming "I'm the fastest lifeform here!"
Sleep: Shadow curls up slightly and sleeps
Win 1: Shadow cracks his knuckles and punches the camera, cracking it slightly.
Win 2: Shadow runs around the screen before skidding and giving an angry smile.
Win 3: Shadow tosses the Chaos Emeralds around with a psychotic smile.
Win Theme: Sonic Adventure 2 theme
Waterlogged: Shadow takes damage whilst swimming.
Projectiles: Shadow has no projectiles.

Movement
Walk: Shadow walks with his arms being dragged along the air
Run: Shadow's legs turn into figure eights as he runs. He is only slightly slower than Sonic
Jump: Shadow jumps with his arms pushing downwards
Double Jump: See Jump.
Dodge: Shadow shifts his arms back and floats as he dodges.
Wall: Shadow can wall jump.

Moveset
Attack
Neutral Attack/Rapid Jab: Punch, punch, kick combo.
Dash Attack: A flying kick.

Tilt
Forward Tilt: Horse Kick
Up Tilt: 540 kick
Down Tilt: Legsweep

Smash
Forward Smash: A windup punch. Can be wound up for longer than Sonic's and deals more damage, but deals less initial damage.
Up Smash: A jumping Spin Dash.
Down Smash: A punch into the ground.

Aerials
Neutral Air: Curls into a ball whilst moving up and down.
Forward Air: A corkscrew battering ram, but he uses his feet instead of his head.
Back Air: A hook kick.
Up Air: A scissor kick.
Down Air: A diagonal flying kick

Grab, Pummel, Throw
Grab: Reaches out and grabs the opponent by the neck/collar.
Pummel: Shadow smacks the opponent with the head of his gun multiple times into the opponent.
Forward Throw: He kicks his opponent's stomach and blasts his ball form into them.
Back Throw: He suplexes his enemy, kicking their chest a couple of times.
Up Throw: He turns into a ball and knocks the opponent upwards.
Down Throw: He smashes them downwards before spitting on them and crushing his foot on their chest.

Floor
Front Floor: He jumps forwards with a sex kick.
Back Floor: He backflips and scissor kicks the opponent.
Trip Attack: He falls into a ball and rolls around.
Edge Attack: He goes into a ball and dashes across the stage.

Specials
Neutral Special: Homing Attack
Shadow slowly rises before smacking the opponent with a homing spin dash.
Side Special: Spin Dash
Shadow rolls into a ball and dashes forwards. It can be controlled for a few seconds afterwards.
Up Special: Chaos Control
He leaps upwards off of an emerald. A second after launching himself off, he slows down as the emerald can meteor smash or be stuck in the ground as a platform. When it lands, nearby enemies are also slowed down, but for longer.
Down Special: Spin Charge
Shadow charges up his Spin Dash which deals more damage but returns slower than Sonic's.

Kirby Ability: When swallowed by Kirby, he gets Shadow's black and red hair. He can then use Shadow's Homing Attack.

Final Smash: Super Shadow
Shadow summons the Chaos Emeralds and becomes Super Shadow, and is functionally identical to Super Sonic. It is faster and deals more damage than Sonic's one, but is more erratic, harder to control and lasts a little bit less.

Costumes:
1) Black Shadow with red tips, white gloves and red-and-white shoes.
2) White Shadow with pink tips. Based on Rouge the Bat.
3) Red Shadow with yellow tips. Based on Dr. Robotnik.
4) Aqua Shadow with yellow tips. Based on Metal Sonic or Maria Robotnik.
5) Blue Shadow with white tips. Based on Sonic.
6) Maroon shadow with black tips. Based on E-123 Omega.
7) Green Shadow with purple tips. Smash original.
8) Faded yellow Shadow with red tips. Based on Super Shadow.

Other
Palutena's Guidance
Pit: "Wow, who knew Sonic could suddenly become edgy?"
Palutena: "That's Shadow. He's Sonic's rival and wants to destroy the universe."
Pit: "The universe? Destroyed?"
Palutena: "Yup, because he sees humans as inferior. I have no idea why an entire universe has to die from one species."
Pit: "Wow, that got dark again."
Dark Pit: "Oh sweet, another dark clone! First we had me, then Dark Samus, and now Shadow! Heh, I'm sure we'll be good buddies or something dorky like that."
Pit: "...should I tell him about all the dark costumes everyone had when I first joined?"
Palutena: "Just let him be, Pit. Just let him be."
