Once they got there, the witch could tell that it was going to be hard to ever get Bunny to leave. The look of wonder in her eyes as she gazed around the forest made the witch happy. Very happy. She smiled as she ran her fingers over the trees' bark. She laughed as she managed to get a squirrel to climb up her arm. She squealed when she saw a tiny bunny that quickly hopped away at the sound.

The witch had to grab Bunny by the back of her shirt so that she wouldn't chase after it and get lost.

It was there in the cabin that their life together began. (Cue the classic Disney time skip.)

As Bunny started getting older, the witch started to realize that she didn't behave normally around other people. Whenever the witch had to force her to come outside with her, she would always hide behind her and cling on to her clothes. When someone would recognize the odd witch who had sold them a potion or a herb, they would smile and ask to say hi to the adorable little girl behind her. Bunny would shyly peep out, but then she would quickly go back to hiding.

The witch began to get worried. She could tell that this behavior was a little bit off, and she wanted to make sure that Bunny was okay. She managed to trick Bunny into going and seeing a psychologist. In the witch's opinion, psychologists weren't quite as good as witches, but they knew more about the science side of thing. Witches were the one who dealt more with the spiritual. The doctors, scientists, and scholars were the ones who dealt with the scientific.

"Well, your daughter has what is referred to as social anxiety."

Social anxiety. After the psychologist explained it and the witch did some research of her own, she discovered that Bunny was just constantly afraid of social rejection. She wasn't just shy...she was afraid.

And so, the witch even went to such lengths as to bring Bunny to a therapist once a week. The therapy seemed to help, but the witch just couldn't get Bunny to go to school no matter what she did. That led to her staying at home most of the time. When she had an anxiety attack, she would often ask the witch to take her to the cabin in the woods. That was where she felt safe.

A few years passed by in such a fashion. The witch and her Bunny isolated themselves away from the world, and neither of them really noticed. The witch didn't want to do anything that would make Bunny upset, so she made the mistake of not pushing her to try and overcome her social anxiety. She just did whatever it took to keep her calm and happy.

Since the witch never dealt with the problem, the anxiety became worse and much and much more frequent. There were panic attacks almost every single day. There were times when Bunny would stay in her room, close the curtains, and lock the door. Sometimes she wouldn't come out for days.

It was when Bunny reached 8 years old that the witch had enough. She packed up her things, told Bunny to grab a little lettuce for the ride, and moved them into the cabin in the woods. It was a little smaller than her old house, but it was comfy, and Bunny was happy there. That was all that mattered.

A few years passed by there. As Bunny got older, the witch struggled with raising a teenager. There were more fights between them, and Bunny would often go storming out into the woods. She would always come back though, and they would make up. The witch loved Bunny, and Bunny loved the witch. And in the end, that would always be true.

Bunny was taking online school and the witch was providing online witch consultations. It was enough to take care of both of them. The witch would drag Bunny to the grocery store once a week, but Bunny would usually keep her earphones in the whole time, avoiding eye contact with everyone.

There were days when for hours, the only sound that could be heard was the clicking of two keyboards as both of the house's occupants got lost in their work. There were nights when all you could hear were the dins of a tv show and the warm sounds of laughter as the witch and Bunny laid on the couch and watched a movie.

It was a quiet life, but it was also a content one.

Until things started to change.

A/N

Hey guys! I'm back! I was gone for a little while because I was working really hard to get school work done. I managed to get a lot done, so I'll have a lot more time to update. If I manage to get over my writers' block, that is. Which might never happen, so don't set your expectations too high.

See ya soon!
