IT'S COMPLICATED

CHAPTER-10

"Arnavji..." whispered Khushi gaining her senses back slowly...

"I am here Khushi...open your eyes..." she can hear her Arnavji's tensed voice...she opened her eyes to see him staring at her...she gave him a half smile attempting to release his tension...

"Thank god Bhabhi you got up...Bhai was going to punch that doctor..." said NK wiping his imaginary sweats...

Khushi now watched at her surroundings to find a new room with lots of unknown men...suddenly the previous events of the day played infront of her eyes...

"Maa...Papa..." she shouted...

"Relax"

"But Arnavji..." and suddenly Arnav fighting with the man flashed infront of her eyes...she got panic and started checking his face, hands, shoulders for any kind of injury...

"Khushi..."

"Arnavji...that man was beating you...Are you fine?" Nk and Aman laughed at that but stopped suddenly by his one glare...

"Err...Khushi I was punching him you see..." said Arnav calmly...

"But Why? Why were you fighting? And who are they?" said Khushi pointing the unknown men...

"These two Akash and Nandkishore are my brothers and this is my Chachu (Uncle) and this is Aman Mathur my cousin..." answered Arnav calmly... Khushi was shocked...

"But you said you have no one in your family..." came her direct question... Arnav signaled his family...one by one everyone left the room...he closed the door murmuring "get ready Arnav..." he sighed...

"Well...you see the job, I do, I have to lie sometimes about little things..." he started calmly...

"What job?"

"I am a police officer and I was assigned to protect your family..." said Arnav in one breathe...

"What?"

"Yes...we got information about some rival companies are plotting against Sashi uncle so I was sent to protect you all but unfortunately they took your family...But trust me I will find them and punish all the culprits..."

"You lied" gasped Khushi...

"No...No...just the I am alone in this whole world part is lie...else everything is true..."

"So you were following me all the days..."

"Nah...I was guarding you...and then I fell in love with you and married you..." said Arnav casually and took her in his lap and nuzzled her face...his hands roaming all over her...

"Sorry for hiding the truth...its part of my job...I can't reveal my identity..." said Arnav feeling bad for lying once again... 

Khushi clutched him more... "They will not harm them right?"

"No...to achieve their goals they needed them alive..." said Arnav thinking something deeply...

The next morning Khushi got up to find herself alone in the bed...reality dawned upon her...she is in her sasural (husband's house)...she hurriedly headed towards the washroom to start the day...But the moment she slides the curtains of their room she stood shocked...the whole room was a mess...clothes, files, papers scattered here and there...she thought to clean the room after breakfast...she got out of the room to get some more shocks...well not only their room but the whole apartment was a mess...all she could see were papers, files and dust...and amidst of that all of the brothers and their uncle were having breakfast "bread and milk" all in their workout outfits...engrossed in some serious discussions...

Slowly Khushi went into a room which she assumed as kitchen to get some more shock...there were minimum utensils, an induction, mugs, a coffee maker, a juicer, a refrigerator and nothing else... she came to the dining table again...

"Arnavji...I need to buy somethings..."

"Sure...make a list Bhabhi...we will get them all..." said Nk giving a dazzling smile...Khushi smiled at him...

"Not all...I need someone here also to help me as this house is new to me..."

"Sure Khushi...today, only Arnav and I are going to work...rest have day off...they will all entertain you" said Pritam giving her a bright smile...she liked all the men of the house...but their living brought tears in her eyes... "Keep these cards...you will need them..." smiled Arnav too...

So after Arnav and his uncle left for work, the men stood in a queue to help their Bhabhi...Khushi finished her multiple lists and handed them one of her lovely obedient devars (husband's brothers)...

"Akash Bhai...please bring all these"

"Sure Bhabhi...without a miss" said Akash and left the place...

"What will we do Bhabhi?" asked a curious Nk...

"Cleaning..." with that she handed each of them one broom and asked them to follow her...One by one they cleaned all three rooms, dining area everything, occasionally disturbed by Akash's numerous calls about utensils, kitchen items, veggies and other house items...

Akash came back all tired but the cleaned and decorated house took out all his tiredness...now they all settled the kitchen and the house by the new purchased items...

"Wow Bhabhi...I never thought our house is so beautiful..." exclaimed Aman in joy...all of them agreed...Khushi smiled at them...

"Now you all go and take shower... Arnavji and Chachaji will be back anytime soon...I will prepare the dinner..."

"Why Bhabhi? You worked so hard today...let's order something..."

"No Nk Bhai...from today no outside food...I will prepare every meals just tell me about all yours favourites..."

The three of them nodded happily and went to take shower just as their Bhabhi ordered...

After sometime the bell rang, Arnav and Pritam entered only to get a shock by their surroundings...they could hear loud voices from the dining area...they looked at each other and went there to find all the three monkeys eating like no tomorrow...

"What the..."

"Bhabhi...the food is delicious..." said Nk again digging into his plate..

"Bhabhi...one more chapatti please..."

"Coming Akash Bhai..." Khushi came out from the kitchen with some 8 to 10 chapattis serving them ignoring all their denials...

Arnav and Pritam stood there stunned...Khushi noticed them and hurriedly went towards them with water...both of them gulped the water at once...

"Arnavji...come fast...the food will get cold..."

He looked at everything once more...Others were holding their chuckles seeing their shocked state... "What happened here?" came Arnav's surprised tone...

"It's complicated Bhai" said all the men in unison and burst into laughter...
