Over the past few years of living with Momo, Jihyo had learned a few things about the modern girl.
She loved to dance and would sing occasionally. Unless you want a curse on your household honour, you don't let her be hungry for more than an hour. And finally, she was the sweetest person capable of understanding ghosts.

She never freaked out, Hirai Momo, and never watched her back. She knew that Jihyo was there but she, somehow, just saw her as another person to make friends with. Sana of course was a close second to that spot of sweetest, but she got so excited and interested sometimes that Jihyo was constantly reminded that she was a ghost that was beyond the two girls who had decided to live together in the long period of time that the author doesn't update you all about their lives (oh look that's me). Now all of Jijyo's memories had faded away once she died, but she knew she was in love. She knew she died feeling a childish glee that only comes with devoting her smile to one and one only. Because of that she knew it was the loved one that killed her, and she didn't know why she was so scared of this since, you know, she can't get hurt now. Momo was wonderful, but could Jihyo handle the rush of a heartbeat she doesn't have? Could she handle the pain of a betrayal that can't even happen? She didn't know, but she also didn't want to risk it.

At rehearsal callbacks for the new group that Momo and Sana had auditioned for, Jihyo tagged along after holding Momo's hand for permission.
"Yes of course Jijyo honey," She laughed happily, "of course you can come too. I'd love to have you there."

Momo really wished she could see Jihyo... she wished to see her smile and her eyes light up, to see her hair that would flow as she drifted around happily, following Momo and her daily tasks so she never truly felt alone.
Why did Jijyo have to be a ghost?

Anyway! The rehearsal.
It went well until the end of the first routine they had to learn to pass through to the final choosing of 9 girls out of the 15 that attended this callback. The finishing stance, hands on hips and face to the left, had 6 girls sweating, panting and shaking. It wasn't a particularly fast routine, just one that was hard to pull off with a casual looking effort. However, 9 girls in particular had charming eyes and sunshine smiles throughout the entire thing, including the applause that followed the cute routine.

"Wonderful! Okay, we've discussed the finalists." The audition director called to the young adults after a 5 minute break. "Can we please have Im Nayeon, Chou Tzuyu, Son Chaeyoung, Shin Maeri (she's an original character), Minatozaki Sana-"
Sana, at this point squealed before covering her own mouth with her hand, wide eyes peeking over the top.
"- Myoui Mina, Yoo Jeongyeon annnnd.... Hirai Momo to step forwards? Great. We will see you next Tuesday here at 3pm for contract runthroughs. Congratulations. Jeon Somi, the Chae sisters, Kim Chungha, Bae Joohyun and Lalisa Manoban thank you for coming and good luck in the future. Dismissed."

Momo couldn't believe it. Her name was called. She did it! She had a future here and she was starting her new life...
Jihyo couldn't believe it either. She also couldn't take the rush of energy she felt radiating off of Momo like heat from the sun. It charged her being and left her blind to her actions and suddenly... SMASH. The window caved in. But coincidentally, Momo was looking straight at it in her search for Sana in the small but thick crowd of performers leaving the room with either beaming smiles or tears of disappointment. Eyes turned to the shattered glass in justified alarm, and Momo simply sighed...
"Jiji..." she whispered and Jihyo came back to her senses as guilt flooded her.
"MOMO SMASHED THE GLASS!"
"How did she do that?!"
"Wow..."
Momo looked around in confusion and whispered again: "Shit."
