Second Heartbeat (Avenged Sevenfold & Metallica)

Frank's POV

 I can't believe it. Becca actually tried killing herself. I never thought she'd ever do something like that. We're all sitting in the waiting room waiting to hear an update from one of the doctors. I have no idea what they'll do to save her. What do you do when someone overdoses on pills? I look at Jimmy and he looks absolutely horrific. He looks as if he's lost someone close to him. I lean over towards Mike and whisper.

“Jimmy looks awful.”

“Yeah well, Becca must really mean something to him. He did take her on a date yesterday. He could have fallen in love with her.”

I look back at Jimmy and study him. He could be right.

“Yeah I think you're right.”

“Yeah just look at him. You can see it in his face.”

I nod and sit back in my seat. I'm hoping we hear something soon because I'm really getting worried. Becca means a lot to me, she's like a sister to me, and I really can't lose her. She isn't just my band mate, she's my sister. Our band has a bond similar to the bond of Avenged Sevenfold. We're like family. We're best friends, but we're a family too.

“I don't think I can wait much longer,” Jimmy sighs.

“I'm sure she'll be okay, Jim. She'll pull through,” Brian says, hugging him.

“I can't lose her.”

“I know, man. I know.”

I look at Becca's dad and he seems very fidgety and anxious. I can only imagine what's going through his head. Thoughts of losing his daughter, having to plan funeral arrangements if he does. I don't want to see him go through any of that.

I sit back and watch the others. They all just look worried and scared. They don't know Becca as well as myself and the rest of my band mates, but I can see by the looks on their faces that they care a lot about her. Becca's a sweet girl and very outgoing. She brings life to the party and you don't see that in a lot of people. I guess that's why Jimmy likes her so much. She's exactly like him in many ways. I can see it in his eyes, the way he looks at her. It's pure adoration. He fell in love and now he might lose her forever. I hope that's not the case. We would have to cancel the tour if we did and not many people would liked that. I guess all we have to do is to sit back and wait to hear from a doctor, which I hope is soon.
