Tame Impala was currently blasting through my room while I busted some weird-ass dance moves along its rhythm.

You're probably wondering how the fuck I can go from rocking out to 5 Seconds of Summer to busting it down to Tame Impala and I have the perfect answer for that; my music taste is all over the place. I choose out a genre of music depending on my mood and after a terribly long day at school, Tame Impala is the man (Get it? 'Cause I'm a man'? XD I'll shut up sry ).

The buzzing of my phone interrupted my dancing and with an eyeroll, I lazily walked over to my nightstand and picked up my phone.

"Hey bitchass," Sophie's hoarse voice came from the other end. "You're too nice to me. I'm flattered." I responded with a chuckle. "What's up?" I asked as I layed down on my bed trying to catch my breath from all the dancing I had just done.

"I'm bored. Wanna come over? I need help with my homework anyways," Sophie asked.

"Sure. I'll be there in 20."

I got up from my position and changed into a comfortable pair of sweatpants and a 'Halsey' hoodie. I threw my hair up in a ponytail, grabbed my phone and put some school books in my backpack in case I wanted to do my homework at Sophie's.

The door opened to reveal an excited Sophie. "Thank god you're here," she breathed whilst pulling me in by my wrist.

"Someone's desperate," I cheekily said while walking towards her room and landing with a 'thump' on her bed. "You have no idea." Sophie sat down on her bed, across from me, crossing her legs.

"Okay, so do you wanna start with Math?"

"Fuck that. I wanna spill the tea on that new guy!" Sophie smirked.

"Sophie!" I groaned as leaned back so I was laying down on the bed. "Oh come on! First day of Junior Year was hard! We deserve some girl time." She exclaimed trying to persuade me.

"I don't have the energy to argue so I'm just going to let you talk your talk, but after, we're going to do our homework. I really wanna step up my game this year and walking into class without your homework is kind of a set back," I said, finally giving in to Sophie's pleading eyes.

"Yes! Okay, deal! I'll even do it with you!" Sophie jumped excitedly.

I sighed while Sophie wasted no time in starting her 'girl time', which was actually a nicer way of saying 'I'm gonna tell you a person's deepest, darkest secret that I shouldn't know of but I do'.

"So, obviously, Sam is the 'talk of the town', " she said while putting air quotes with her fingers. "I mean he's the new kid and he's hot? Oh my god, 'hot' is an understatement, I don't think there's even-"

"Sophie! I got it, he's hot!" I snapped.

Taken aback by my lack of interest, Sophie eyed me wearily. "I'm guessing you don't like him that much," Sophie furrowed her eyebrows. "Did he do something to you? 'Cause hot or not, I'll beat the living-"

"No, he didn't," I interrupted Sophie for the second time. She's honestly so passionate, shutting her up is the only way you'll get out of a conversation with her before you're fifty.

"He's just a total douche. Sucks that such good looks had to be wasted on a guy like him," I rolled my eyes at the thought of him.

I continued on by explaining to her the friendly dialogue we had at basketball, while adding in some.. opinions.

"Well apparently, he's also a delinquent. People are saying that he transferred to Frailway High after he got expelled from his old school."

I sat up, suddenly interested in the subject. "What for?" I asked.
