The King's Proposal (Re-written)

Few days later, Lian Chang, Meng Hao and other elders of Shui clan are summoned by Jiang Xia. Getting summoned, Lian Chang's mood falls down. He is already worried by the weird dream, and now the continuous pressure for a female healer for the Zhu family member is building his acute headache.

Lian Chang anticipates the matter. It must be about that marriage proposal of Huo clan. Upon reaching the Jiang Residence hall, he gets stunned. A young man of twenty five or six is sitting on the seat of the clan head and Jiang Xia is sitting at his left side. The young man is tall and handsome with fair skin and has a very domineering aura. His eyes have arrogant and imposing look. He is holding a gentle smile on his arrogant and confident face.

Lian Chang kneels down and greets, "Your Majesty! What a rare fortune to see you in front of humble me!"

Cheng Sheng stands up from his seat. Seeing him, Jiang Xia, the head minister Yin and other elders also stand up. Cheng Sheng ignores everyone and walks to Lian Chang. He stands in front of him. After Cheng Sheng leave, Lian Chang's face becomes pale.

On the third day afternoon, Lian Chang gathers everyone on an urgent family meeting. Lian Jie knows very well about the situation. He is watching his father disclosing the long pressed matter to the whole family.

Lian Chang, "In last clan meeting, His majesty Cheng Sheng came personally, I guess you all know that. Huo clan is demanding a female from our family to treat the sick young master of Zhu and make her his cultivation partner."

"What?" some voices speak up.

Among these chatter, they clearly hear the fall of a cup behind the curtain.

Lian Chang's mother Lian Shan left her position as the family head and went to seclusion several years ago. Even after coming out from seclusion, she never came face to face with anyone. She always meets people staying behind her curtain.

Lian Shan, "We have lost our daughters because of them. Now we don't have any girls in our house but they want another one to torture, to kill."
