The Intruders & The Decision (Re-written)

Moon's Shadow Forest. A fascinating and mysterious forest which is a great shelter of many demonic and heavenly beasts, medicinal and poisonous herbs as well.

This forest is laid across the mountain of Shui's land and always covered with thick fog so much that the sun rays looks like dull and gloomy moonlight behind the clouds. That's why it was named as Moon's Shadow forest.

The forest was dense with trees, vines and fog so their path ahead is difficult to see. Moreover, there are snakes that are hanging down the tree branches. They can not fly very high or very fast and get caught by the blind earth eels again. They finally use their fire qi to roast them and clean their path. Thus they attract the attention of the sleeping forest.

'Fresh blood!' 'Human flesh!' 'Eat human flesh!' 'Want to drink blood' ...

It is like the whole forest is chanting sutras and the fog gets denser.

Zhang Zhao, "Li Chen, you feel something besides these chantings?"

Li Chen frowns and says, "Yes. There is a demonic beast of at least three hundred years old. Its cultivation level is higher than mine."

Tian Qiu shivers in fear and holds Li Chen's waist tightly. "Elder sister Li Chen, what will happen now?"

"..." Zhang Zhao looks annoyingly at Tian Qiu. He shouts, "Li Chen, throw little Qiu to me."

"..." Tian Qiu takes time to process the instruction and then holds Li Chen's slender waist more tightly. "No, elder sister Zhu, don't throw me. I will die."

Li Chen feels irritated due to Tian Qiu's hold. She raps on his head and shouts, "Behave, you stupid."

Listening to her, Tian Qiu loosens his grasp and stands on Li Chen's sword firmly.

Cheng Su is silent. He hears a strange but familiar sound.

Hisss! Ssss!

There must be a Demonic Snake!

Li Chen quickly changes her direction and flies upward, others follow her too. But here the branches are so thick and there's also the possibility to face demonic birds. Zhu Li Chen stays at front. She, Zhang Zhao and Cheng Su stay vigilant and use their qi to clean their path. Fortunately, they come out of the forest without facing any more danger but they can not overcome the fog. Here the fog is denser.

Zhu Li Chen closes her eyes and spreads her inner vision. After a while she opens her eyes and says calmly, "It's bad."

Cheng Su, "What?"

Zhu Li Chen, "Right now an old hag, who is actually a white snake of several hundred years, is eyeing on us. We are on her radar. So follow me as fast as you can." Saying this, she flies fast like a comet and other two use their all to follow her.

Zhang Zhao, "A legendary white snake? Is it supposed to be in our Three Dragon's Land?"

Zhu Li Chen, "It might be sleeping for several hundred years, so people didn't keep a trace of it."

Cheng Su, "Where are we flying to?"

Zhu Li Chen, "This forest's natural fog is not so dense. It has been made denser by using spell. There's a protection barrier around Shui's land to keep the intruders away from entering. These intruders include not only humans but also all kinds of demonic beasts, demonic aura and even that old hag White Snake. We are heading to the Protection wall. We will find a crack to enter. If we don't find a crack, we will make one. Got it?"

Cheng Su and Zhang Zhao say, "Yes" They all feel the excitement in Li Chen's voice.

Soon they reach near the barrier which looks like a thin shimmery glass under the sun or the moon light from far away. It's so thin that people can not see it except its light gleam. They fly here and there to find a crack, although they know that they'll fail. Obviously the barrier of Shui clan, which is being maintained by thirty strongest cultivators and which has been able to keep a hundreds of years old demonic snake out of the area, should not have any crack. The spell to create hallucination is so strong here which will affect their mind sooner or later. Moreover that demonic snake is moving freely in this forest.
