Mason Edwards walked around the library, in fascination of a train that passes through two fireplaces in the library each day. The train was black, with red designing, and a golden insignia of a lion's face. The lion's eyes shined light blue, giving accent to the insignia. As the train passed through the center aisle of the library into the other fireplace, Mason noticed that the conductor always pulled the horn right before it went through. The people on the train were always the same, they never changed. Mason, being thirteen years old, had no idea how to explain this. The train never knocked anything down, never caused any damage, but it did bring a gentle breeze that may have blown a few papers, but not too hard to where they would fall off of the tables. Mason lived in the United Kingdom, in the small unknown town of Moonbridge. The thing about Mason is that he was from the United States, so he doesn't have an accent to his voice, but all of his friends do.
Mason's friends, Bradley, Dalton, Lucy, and Isabella all hangout together in the library, whether it is to do homework, or just to talk for a bit and pick up a good book to read. The streets in Moonbridge are made of stone. The shops are mostly walk-in, kind of an old-fashioned sense to the town, but still up to date with all the new clothes, shoes, and slang words. So I guess you could say Moonbridge isn't your ordinary town, but that's a good thing. It's a good thing because when Mason one day gets onto the train, his and his friends' lives will change forever. Mason is fairly 5'8, blue eyes, short, messy, blond, hair, Caucasian skin. Bradley is African-American, also from the United States. He is 5'7, dark brown eyes, with short black hair. Lucy is Caucasian, she has hazel eyes, and long, curly, blond hair. Isabella is mixed, her mother is Caucasian and her father is African-American. She has long, straight, black hair, and black eyes.
One day, the five of them were at the library, searching for books to read in the shelves. On one side of the library, Lucy and Isabella were looking for a book to do their report on at school. "Oh, look at this one!" Lucy said excitedly. "Yeah, that princessy stuff doesn't really fit me well. I think we should read this one." Isabella replied. "You want to read a book called 'Snow White'? Aren't we a little too old for that?" Lucy asked, looking at Isabella with a questioning face. "Hey, it beats reading a two-hundred page book about a girl that wants to be normal, not a princess. She has everything, why not stay a princess?" Isabella asked. "Because, some people think of it as being too much of something. I guess she just doesn't want to be too preppy." Lucy said. "I guess so then." Isabella said. Isabella put the book back where she found it, then her and Lucy continued to look for a book.
On the other side of the library, Mason, Bradley, and Dalton were looking for some good action/adventure books to read in their spare time. "How about 'The Three Shots'?" Dalton asked. "No, that sounds too army related to me." Bradley said. "It doesn't really matter, I'm just bored." Mason added. "Would you read, 'The Adventures of---" Dalton was beginning to ask. "Anything beginning with the words 'The Adventures of', has got to be for little kids, just saying." Bradley said, shrugging his shoulders. "Come on guys, we are teenagers now. We are almost at the age of being able to drive. We need a change, something new to do. We need something special." Mason said. Just then, the train went from the back fireplace of the library, to the front one. But this time, it stopped. "Hop on!" said the conductor, throwing his hand from the front of himself, back towards the train. "Is it just me, or did he just tell us to get on that train?" Isabella asked. "I think he said to get on the train.." Lucy replied, walking slowly towards the train. "I heard you kids talking, and I think you need some fun. Get on this train before I have to go!" said the conductor. The conductor had on a conductor's jacket, a hat, and nice black shiny shoes. He stayed seated in the conductor's seat. "Do you want to go, Mason?" Bradley asked him. "Sure, anything to get me out of here." Mason replied, beginning to think that they were seeing things. "Are you sure? My mom said don't talk to strangers." Dalton said. "We're going, come on." Mason said. "All aboard!" the conductor said, as the five of them got onto the train. Right after all of them were safely seated in a train room, the train pulled off quickly, and the conductor yelled, "Nothing can be too magical!"
