Hermione Zabini (A Dramione Story)

Chapter 2- The truth

Previously:
Mum casually unlocks the door, then recoils in horror.

"Hello," say Mr and Mrs Zabini.

Hermione's POV

Mum stares at Mr and Mrs Zabini, but dad is the first one to say something.

"What are you doing here?" He asks coldly.

I am too confused to say anything. How do my parents know the Zabinis?

"I think you know what we're doing here, Mr Granger. We've come for our daughter."

This doesn't make sense. My head is reeling. I storm upstairs and into my bedroom, and I lie on my bed.

I hear voices from downstairs. Someone is calling my name. I don't care. Something is happening, and right now I don't know who to trust.

I wake up a few hours later. My mind is blissfully empty, but then it all comes crashing back to me.

From downstairs, I hear mum's voice. "I didn't want this to happen now," she says, her voice muffled slightly like she is crying.

I can't just stay hiding up here, so I go downstairs.

My mum and dad are on one sofa, and Mr and Mrs Zabini are on the other. There is also a boy beside the Zabinis, who I presume to be Blaise Zabini.

As soon as I come into the room, both couples start talking.

"Honey, I think you are going to have to sit down. There's something we have to tell you." Mum says, and I can see the tears in her eyes.

"Hermione, please listen to us..." Mrs Zabini starts, but I cut her off with a glare. I don't let anyone upset my parents.

I take a seat on my parent's sofa and let them explain.

"You see, the reason you don't have any brothers and sisters is because...your father and I are unable to have children." Mum says.

"What? No, no, mum!' I yell, tears running down my face. I grab her hand.

'Please! I am your daughter!' I say.

My mum looks close to tears as well. I love you so much honey, but I'm not going to lie to you. You are not my daughter biologically, although in every other sense, I am your mother.

I look at her, sensing she's telling the truth.

'So, what are they doing here?' I point to the Zabinis angrily.

"Actually, the truth is that your are our daughter," Mr Zabini says calmly.
