Katie sat on the guest bed, swinging her leg like a little kid on the playground. She smiled. Why was she so perky? She dug though her brain to remember… Oh right, I had two bottles of Coke today… She smiled even wider. Suddenly, her phone began to buzz. She quickly picked it up. The name she saw was one she didn’t want to see. Shit She thought, keeping it too herself. She declined the call, and rolled her eyes. She sat for five minutes playing Tiny Farm, when the phone buzzed again. It was the same number. She let it ring this time. Maybe he’d get the message. He didn’t. After the phone stopped only seconds after did it ring again. Ugh! Thought Katie, stomping her foot on the ground. She finally grabbed the phone and smacked that answer button. Smack!

“Hello.” She spoke through gritted teeth.

“Hey Kate!” It was Cameron.

“The name is Katie. The only person aloud to call me Kate is Allie.” Said Katie.

“Who’s Allie?” Asked Cameron.

“A friend” said Katie.

“Geez, whats up with you? Usually girls are swoon over me. Usually barely able to talk.” Cameron said.

That was it! What a cocky, snarky, arrogant thing to say! She hit the end button harder than she hit the answer button.

She slammed the phone on the carpeted floor, and screamed inside a pillow. How was she a fan of him for years? The clock ticked in the background. Tick, tick, tick, tick. She looked up at it. She needed to move that clock. It being above her bed scared her. What if it fell on her face during the night? She looked to the left at the oak colored desk, and her laptop sitting on-top of it. It was open, but shut down. She needed to do some work to get Cameron off her mind. She logged into the computer, and pulled up the house listing.

The Gale Family really wanted this certain house that another one of her clients, the Burke Family, wanted as well. They each were sending her prices. Emails upon emails as the price dropped. They were the only two clients emailing. That was stressing her even more. She closed the laptop and sighed.

Then, there was a knock of the door. “Hello, it me Grace.”

“Come in.” Said Katie, trying not to sound angry or upset.

Grace came in with a big smile from ear to ear across her face.

“What is it?” Asked Katie.

Grace just giggled and fell to the floor. Her face was the color of a rose, and her eyes wide.

“I am over the moon right now! I couldn’t be happier. Really! You guy’s are here, and I just played Pixlemon for two hours with Jordan! She sighed. We recorded four episodes. I think I like him even more now!” She said, with that same kind of sigh you do when you met someone you like.

Katie rolled her eyes. “So, how was Pixlemon?” Asked Katie.

“Great!” Said Grace. “Anyway—“ She began getting up. “— I have to go make dinner.” She said, with air quotes on ‘Make dinner.’

“What does that mean?” Asked Katie.

“It means I’m ordering Sushi.”

And the two girls just sat there laughing. And Katie forgot all about Cameron.
