thank you

the weather today was just right. the sky reminded her of a canvas; how the colour blue was painted on effortlessly with the perfect ratio alongside the white that represents the clouds in the sunny day. the day was a little windy yet slightly humid.

yui clutched on her bag, her hair a little messed up from the wind. her steps were heavy, a little cautious and slow.

to say that her heart was not ready was an understatement.

as she walked passed rows of shops, her feet came to a halt in front of a specific place.

the huge grey gates were opened just like every other day, her eyes noticed some visitors were already there.

she stood still right in front of her gate, it was like her feet was rooted to the ground. her breath hitched, cold sweat started to form. she was not ready.

yui was having a mental breakdown inside, mentally telling herself she was ready. so, she took a deep breath and started to walked inside the cemetery.

as her feet approached a specific name, tears started to welled up in her eyes. it has been two years since he had passed on, and two years since she had visited him with a heavy heart.

jeon jungkook. just with that name, her heart felt heavy; it felt like someone was squeezing her heart out.

he was an angel that god sent to protect her, but what she regretted was for not being there for him.

"it's okay, it's not your fault. it's never your fault". his words were vivid in her mind, but why was she blaming herself when he said not to?

the guilt was rising in her. she regretted not caring for him a little more, know him a little more, trust him a little more, and love him a little more.

she felt like she was lacking something in this relationship, it felt like jungkook was the only one putting effort when in reality, they both did their best but fate wasn't on their side.

yui fell on her knees, looking at the picture of jungkook smiling brightly, his white pearly bunny teeth was seen alongside his slightly squinted eyes.

she missed him, she missed him a lot.

"i'm sorry, i should've done something." she said, at this rate tears were rolling down her cheeks like a stream.

it was hard to breathe, hiccups were heard and tissues were slowly building up next to her. she wanted him back in her arms.

placing a white rose in front of his tombstone, she broke into a small smile as she wiped her tears dry.

it has been two years, but everything felt like yesterday.

gulping down the lump that was in her throat, she broke the silence. "i love you jeon, and will forever love you even if the universe is against us."
