You ever just wake up and feel... so content? The morning sun is just beginning to peak through the curtains, the birds chirping and trees rustling.

I rolled over to check the time, 9:15, then proceeded to get out of bed. A big satisfied yawn escaped my mouth and left me smiling.

I picked out a casual outfit of a t-shirt and some rolled up capri Jean's, and threw up my hair into a quick bun. When I was finally descending the stairs, I heard the faint sound of some song playing downstairs. As I got closer to the kitchen I heard Gram humming along to it. Surprising...

"Good morning, Gram." I said cheerfully. "Oh! Good morning Hon. How did you sleep?" She asked. "Pretty great actually. That bed is unbelievably comfortable." I sat down at the kitchen table and watched Gram who was infact making some breakfast.

"How do you like your eggs Rosie?" She said over her shoulder. "Scrambled is fine thank you."

The song was 'Ain't no Rest For The Wicked' by Cage The Elephant. It's a good song, but I more or less listen to indie, and R&B. All music is good though. My parents raised me on 80's rock, naturally I am very accepting of the different genres.

After breakfast, Gram informed me that Felicity will be taking me around town today, and that she should be by here soon.

Love that I wasn't asked, but its totally okay though because Felicity was really cool and hanging out with her all day sounds fun. I wonder what we'll go do.

Pausing my thoughts, Gram walks into the livingroom. "Hon Mel suggested that you just go over there and meet Felicity. She said she'd love to show you the house." Before letting me answer she leaves the room. I suppose I should go now then? Suddenly feeling a little iffy on it. Yea, those new/awkward situations really have an impact on a person's state of mind.

After a couple minutes of going over responses and ways to greet, I put on my classic black and white converse, grab my phone, then head out the door.

'Okay Jeanae... Don't be such a dork' I say to myself as I approach the neighboring house. Slowly making my way up the walkway, onto the porch then finally in front of the door. Right as I'm about to knock the door swings open.

Standing there, Is Mickey. I probably look flushed since I was already nervous and for some reason I wasn't expecting him to answer the door.

Don't be a dork, it's that simple...

"Um, H-Hey Mickey." Gross. Absolutely disappointing, why do I even try. Que mental facepalm.

He just stares for a second then proceeds to say, "I do remember saying that my 'friends' call me Mickey... so to you Its Michael or it's nothing." He said blankly. He wasn't outwardly showing anger towards me but the way he said that made me feel otherwise.

I haven't even known the guy for more than 24 hours and already he has a problem with me. What the heck is that about? I mean seriously he didn't need to be rude. I'd rather be ignored...

Before I could think more on it, my inner more confident self reacted.

"Oh! Thanks for the reminder then, NOTHING, I'll try not to have another slip up." I mean I am just genuinely annoyed with the attitude he chooses to put on towards me. But whatever. I'm not gonna dwell on it...

He did seem the slightest bit shocked. Probably thought I was just some little pushover baby bird type. To be fair, usually I am like that. Confrontation is something I'd rather avoid. The whole arguing back and forth thing seems dumb.
