Tin stood in front of his family home, his mouth in a tight line. He hadn't brought Can with him, because he thought that seeing Can when he confronted his brother might remind him too much of what might have happened to him, and he would let his anger get the better of him. He clasped the bundle of papers, and a CD, to his chest, knowing he had prepared well for this day. He felt a pang of sympathy for his father, but he squashed it. He was partly to blame for it.
Two hours later, Tin was back home, and Can's legs were wrapped up around his waist, held up by Tin's arms under his butt, his lips hungry on his. Tin sighed happily, he hadn't even made it two feet inside their flat when Can had jumped into his arms. He was home.
"How was it? Was it awful? Did Tul confess? What did your father say? Why aren't you answering?!"
Tin whirled him around and around, laughing. "Never change, my love." He kissed Can thoroughly, then carried him to the sofa. "Tul is finished. My father now knows what Tul is, and what he's done. To me in the past, and to you. He was horrified, and couldn't stop apologising to me, when he saw all the evidence I had gathered." Tin recalled the scene in his father's office. "It was hard to see him so disillusioned, Can, despite everything."
"But what happened with Tul?" Can demanded.
"Apparently there have been some issues in the company, money gone missing, and my father had started to suspect Tul. He hadn't wanted to believe it was him, but now... My father gave Tul two options: either take a post in China, in our new branch, or refuse and become the focus of the internal investigation. You should have seen Tul's face. It was as good as an admission, and my father knew it. Tul took the offer. He's flying to Beijing tomorrow. My father gave him an ultimatum. If he ever causes trouble again for me, or for you, or anyone else I'm close to, my father will not only kick him out of the company, but hand all the evidence he will gather to the police."
Can crowed with pleasure and a sense of justice having prevailed. "Serves him right!"
"Yes..." Tin said, his face clouded.
"Why aren't you happier?" Tin asked.
"He was my brother. I never understood why he hated me so much. And he said some awful things when I left." Tin refused to say more, as it involved Can. How dare he speak like that about the love of Tin's life! He shook with anger when he thought about it.
"What can I do?" Can asked.
"Why do you like being tied so much?" Tin asked out of the blue.
"What...? Oh," Can said and thought. "I told you it makes me feel safe, knowing I'm in your hands. And being so helpless makes everything feel so much more intensely. It's like my whole world is narrowed down to just you, and what you are doing to me, and everything else fades away."
"Perhaps I should give it a try," Tin said.
"What?! You'd let me tie you up?" Can's eyes were round.
Tin smiled. "Not just that. I think it's time you topped me, don't you think?"
Can's mouth made a perfect O and for a moment he was speechless. "You're sure?"
"I see how much you enjoy it. Maybe I'm missing out. And today I could use the distraction of trying something new. Besides, I'm so angry that it's best I don't make love to you now. I'm angry with Tul, enough to kill him, and that guy who dared put his hands on you. I will never make love to you when I'm angry. I might hurt you without meaning to. Why? Don't you want to?"
"Hell yes, I want to!" Can said, his eyes still bugging. "Shia! I don't know what to do, now."
Can's flustered face made Tin laugh. "Well, I know the safe word. Peaches. What's next?"
