Valentine's Day 5: Ae and Pete

Pete had been going through his own cycle of revelation and guilt. When he realised Ae hadn't had sex with Can, he broke apart. How could he have doubted Ae?!

"Pete...? What's wrong? Pete...?" Ae repeated, and pulled him tight against his chest.

"Take me home, Ae," Pete begged him. Luckily his condo wasn't far, and there was a taxi just passing by when they got out of the nightclub.

When they got home, and Pete saw the petals they hadn't had time to clear away before they had to get ready for the drinks, he hid his face in Ae's chest and sobbed. "I love you so much... I can't let you go... Please don't leave me, Ae..."

"Leave you? What are you talking about? I'll never leave you." Ae cupped Pete's face in both his hands and his teary face broke his heart. "Pete! I love you! Why are you like this? Talk to me!" Ae pressed kisses all over Pete's face, in a desperate appeal.

Pete sobbed with relief, and Ae held him, his heart in turmoil. Little by little, Pete's sobs faded, and when he finally gave only small hiccups, Ae cupped his face. "Pete?"

Pete could only confess. "I thought you had sex with Can at school today."

Ae could only gape at him. Nothing he said made sense. "Can? What?! Sex..? Me with Can?! Never!"

It took a while before Ae had coaxed out the story from Pete. When Ae finally realised what had happened, he couldn't help but laugh. "Me and Can?! That howler monkey?" He snorted with laughter. "Oh Pete, you silly, cute thing. I thought Can had sex with someone else than Tin. I was trying to make him confess!" Ae explained it to Pete, whose eyes grew wide.

"I meant to tell you, but I forgot all about it, when I got home and found you waiting for me, naked."

"Your face was so close to Can's and he looked... aroused."

"When?!"

"When you told him you would spank him," Pete said, his face red.

"That's not what I meant!" Ae spluttered. "I was threatening him, I thought. I think we now know why he would find that sexy." Ae saw Pete's expression and hastened to add, "I don't think he was thinking of me in that scenario, Pete. At least I hope not." Ae shuddered.

"Then... Ae isn't tired of me?"

Ae shook him, grabbing his shoulders hard. "Tired of you? What the hell are you talking about?"

"I thought if I did something new today, maybe you would come back to me."

Ae's breath stopped. "You thought I had cheated on you, and you did all this?" Ae swept his hand at the petals, the candles, and then settled on Pete's hip. "It looks beautiful, by the way, but all I could see when I walked in was you. You did all this for me?"

"I thought I would try and make you forget anyone else. And if I failed... at least I would have tried, and we would have tried everything together."

"Oh Pete... you are incredible," Ae said. He kissed Pete passionately, his chest hurting. "You lived with this for the whole day. Pete..." Ae's hands cupped Pete's face, and he pressed his forehead on his. "What did I do to make you think I was tiring of you?"

"Nothing. Ae is perfect for me, always."

"I have been busy, it's those damn exams that are coming up. But I will do better from now on. You're more important to me than anything. But still, how could you think I would ever cheat on you?"

"Ae was straight before you met me," Pete whispered, hiding his face against Ae's chest. 

"No I wasn't, I wasn't anything. I never wanted anyone, or even had a crush on anyone before I met you. I didn't even watch porn! You woke up that side of me and I am forever grateful. Besides, if you thought I was straight, why would you think I was with Can?" His eyes bogged again at the thought. They were friends, but the whole idea of them being something more... Just... no.
