Gasping for air while erratically rolling to the left and right again and again as though they were in incredible pain was a young girl. Her movement has caused all the blankets around her to become a huge mess, some pillows were even kicked down onto the floor. The night sky outside changed as if someone pressed a fast-forward button; and so, the young girl struggled for a few hours before giving up. Deep into the middle of the night, when nothing except the animals that only come out at this time, a soul had entered an empty body. No one would know of this, forever.
The young girl's eyes flew open while her body lurched- Ye Shu Shu has successfully transmigrated. The first thing she saw when she looked around her was the mess she had created which resulted in her picking up everything that had fallen, fold it and place it properly on the spacious wooden bed. She dragged the thin curtains to the side and used a piece of cloth to wrap around it and then hook it. Just as she was feeling satisfied and ready to wear her shoes that were lying near the foot of the bed, she froze. "Wait," she thought, "This- isn't this very Chinese styled?" Sure enough, when she finally took one good look of the room (from the bronze mirror to the plethora of ancient China fans placed on a tray) she was assured that she was in ancient China. "Well, it could be something very similar right? This isn't actually ancient China right?" Shu Shu was very nervous right now, as she knows if this was ancient China, she would be slaughtered out there in the real world. She was originally only 16 after all. How would she know how to scheme someone to death? She hasn't even actually experienced the working world yet! Taking deep breaths, she decided to calm down first and think rationally. The first thing she needed to do was find out what her current identity is. Looking around the room once more, she decided to head to the aforementioned mirror to look at herself to see if she can find some clues. After putting on her (very ancient China styled) shoes, she hopped off the bed with some difficulty. "Wait! With some difficulty?" Shu Shu froze again and looked around the room one final time. She sighed, and true enough it was just like what she thought, she was a child again. Everything was either as tall as her or way taller. Shu Shu already wanted to lie down on the floor and do absolutely nothing already.
However, knowing that she needed to find out about her identity to survive, Shu Shu hauled her ass to climb onto the stool placed in front of the mirror to look at herself. The instant she locked eyes with her reflection, Shu Shu was shocked. This body has the same face as her! Even the mole on her right cheek's placement was the exact same. Shu Shu rejoiced. "How convenient!" She had thought. Getting over the shock, Shu Shu had then moved on to the fan collection, opening and closing every single one of them and admiring their quality as well as the occasional poem on them. Holding one of the fans with a ink drawing of bamboos and two lines of poetry written elegantly, Shu Shu realized yet another thing. This body seemed to be barely ten, this meant that she should not be able to recognize these words. Yet, this fan was still in her collection, so does this mean Shu Shu should act as if she doesn't understand or should she show that she does. Drowning in her own thoughts, Shu Shu noticed something extremely out of place in the room, a sword. A full on sword used by people who practised martial arts or cultivated in hopes of becoming an immortal sword. What is it doing here of all places? In a young girl's room!
Shu Shu had immediately dropped the fan, and moved to where the sword rack is. The sword she saw was lying on the first shelf of the sword rack and a thin layer of dust resided on it. The sword, or more accurately, the scabbard she saw was made out of a simple metal with intricate carvings on it. On the hilt it had two small letters, Lan Yan (蓝燕)The sword's name would literally mean 'Blue Swallow' with swallow referencing the bird swallow. Shu Shu thought it was good name and had grabbed the hilt of the sword because she wanted to see the sword fully, forgetting that her body was of a child's body. The moment her fingers were able to wrap around the hilt fully though, time stopped for a second and a clear voice rang out in her mind.
"Hello Master!" Shu Shu was so shocked she pushed the rack and it skidded away from her a little as she stumbled back. "Master! That kinda hurts you know!"
Shu Shu looked at her hand and thought that maybe she was going crazy and that she didn't die and that all this was one very, very lucid dream.
"Master! I have been entrusted to protect you by Master Shen! And because Master Shen knew that your small incapable brain would not be able to allow you to survive in this world, he had passed me and the Book of Thousand Eyes Heavenly Wheels (千眼天轮书) onto you! Don't you just feel honoured?"
"Fuck you!" Shu Shu was feeling rather insulted instead of honoured.
"You know it's true, Master."
"Still, fuck you!"
"Master Shen's words not mine, Master!"
"Shut up and tell me about the book! What type of shitty name is that anyway?"
"The Book of Thousand Eyes Heavenly Wheels is a actually a list of everyone who have ransmigrated into this world before you! Note that you can only see those who have transmigrated in this world. Master Shen has also given you three wishes so you can request for anything within reason. Master Shen has also made it so that you have the original body's memory. To receive that you'll have to hold onto me again so that I can transfer everything to you." After saying everything, the sword hummed a little which caused Shu Shu to shuffle over and drag the rack back to its original place before wrapping her small, chubby fingers around the hilt once more as the memory's start coming back to her. Yep, to say that her identity was troubling, it would be an understatement.
The original body, well herself actually, is 6 this year. Shu Shu's new name was Ye Han Qiu (叶寒秋) and she was the daughter of the head general of the country of Que (雀) who was also the sworn brother of the kind but wise Emperor himself. Her family and the royal family has a good and pure relationship (in fact, the fan with the bamboo drawings on it was actually a birthday present from the royal family and no, she couldn't read the words) which means that technically, technically she was a princess. An official title was never given, but the royal family were practically like relatives to her family which makes everybody treat her like a princess. Shu-no, Han Qiu thought she was seriously going to faint. Such a complicated and flashy position, she was in huge trouble! In the end, Han Qiu collapsed onto the floor on her knees dramatically. "I already hate life." Han Qiu thought bitterly. Thank god the sword no longer said anything because if it did, Han Qiu would definitely rain down a lot of curses on it.
Suddenly, the sound of multiple footsteps could be heard from within the room. Han Qiu quickly got up and sat on the bed, waiting for what was probably the servants to arrive. True enough, a knock sounded. "Miss Ye, it's time for you to wake up."
"Enter." Han Qiu took a deep breath as the double doors opened and the full intensity of the sunlight hits her. Yep, she was already regretting everything.
"Miss Ye! Why did you put on your shoes, but did not wear your clothes properly! Please wait for us next time!" The maid who was probably in her early 20s stated in a reprimanding, but kind tone.
"I apologize, I was impatient." The next few minutes gone by was spent by the maids putting her into a blue and white traditional hanfu that matched her shoes which reminded her of the porcelain cutlery her mother had in her previous life. Her hair was done in a simple way, with a few braids here and there, but most of it was let down. Han QIu noted her hair was quite long, reaching nearly half her back. After all the preparations were done, she was sent to the dining room to eat with her parents. Han Qiu took a deep breath, after all, this is only the beginning.
