A few days under operation, it was clear Drade won't make it. Hannah soon walked in to see how he was doing once she checked everything was ok with the nurse.

"Hey, how you doing?" Hannah asked softly.

"The doctor says I won't make it, other than that, I'm happy to see your pretty face before I go" Drade said trying to stay positive.

"What, no, this can't be happening. I need to see a nurse" Hannah said while leaving the room briefly to talk to a nurse.

"Hey excuse me" Hannah said politely to a nurse.

"Yes, how can I help you" the nurse replied.

"I know this doesn't mean s### to you, but the man lying in that bed saved my life. The least I can do is try to save his" Hannah explained sadly.

"We can save his life, but it'll cost over $5,000 to get all the workers & equipment to be able to operate near where he was shot. It's money he told us he can't afford, we're sorry. We are doing the best we can" the nurse explained.

"Put it under me, I'll pay for it... All of it" Hannah replied.

"Ok, well I'll see what we can do. I'll be back, if you could just wait a few moments" the nurse said.

A few moments of waiting & the nurse finally came back with an answer.

"Alright, we can do that, come with me please" the nurse asked kindly.

Hannah just has too fill out paperwork stuff & sort out payments.

Later in the day after everything was sorted out, she walked back in the room to see Drade.

"You're going to survive Drade, no need to be sweet yet" Hannah explained happily knowing he will make it.

"Wait.... It's $5,000 for the operation, who's paying for it" Drade questioned.

"You saved my life Drade, I love you with all my heart, I paid for it. It's money I can earn back, I can't get you back, your life means something special to me, it just took a while for me to see it" Hannah explained.

"You didn't have too, it's ok" Drade said.

"I know, stop being sweet, get some rest" Hannah responded.

After weeks of waiting, Drade was finally released from hospital. Ready to begin his life with Hannah.

So the days turned into weeks, the weeks into months than into years. Drade was ready to propose.

He took Hannah to a beautiful beach near where they lived together. They walked a bit than froze for a bit while Drade went in front of Hannah with a smile on his face.

He got down on one knee & said confidently & happily "Hannah, the most beautiful girl in the world, will you be my wife?".

With excitement Hannah started happy crying while thinking this is the best moment of her life & without question "Yes" Hannah said while jumping into his arms.

They lived happily ever after.

Although it was a rough start, if you never give up on something you really love, 99% of the time it'll end up happening.
