Chapter 4

Sitting at the same cafe where both her and Shadow encountered. Amy stared down on her coffee while resting her palm against her chin, lost in her own world.

'Chasing Sonic will be now worthless if him and Sally got together. I mean.. What i am obviously doing was so unladylike. I never saw any female species chasing their true love just to force them to be with them.. I'm so idiot.' She thought and sighed to herself.

Since it is indeed the usual, yeah. Sonic was doing his usual morning routine. Running around the Mobius and run passed the cafe where Amy at and not missing the glimpse of his pinkette friend.

"Amy?" He stopped running and scratched an imaginary eyebrow while looking at her. "Oh yeah. That's why i feel like something is missing. Amy is not chasing me? Strange." He mumble to himself.

Thinking whether to show himself or not. Sonic decided to stay hidden and watch Amy from a far.

'Why am i doing this now? I'm not even interested to her.' He argued to himself. 'But its still strange that she's acting like that.'

Amy on the other hand have decided.

She'll stop chasing her hero.

Shaking her head to wake herself up. She looked outside from the cafe making Sonic startle and hid.

"Maybe that will do.." She mumbled and stood up leaving a money on top of the table she used and left the cafe.

Sonic followed her. Why?

She's acting strange.

'Ah! Maybe she's come back to normal if she sees him! That's right!' He thought and dashes way to where she is going.

He stood to a nearby post and on it with his arms crossed, pretending not to notice her.

"Sonic? is that you?" Amy blinked walking way to him.

"AMY?!" Again, pretending to be surprised, he dashes away.

Amy only sigh and continue walking way to her destination while Sonic, noticing no one's chasing her.

'That's it!' He stopped and run way to Amy instead.

'He's back?' Amy thought.

Right after Sonic saw Amy, he stopped right in front of her and cross his arms.

"What's the matter Ames?" He asked.

"Huh? What?" She blinked. This is the first time he actually talked to him face to face.

"You're acting weird today. Are you sick?" Sonic sigh.

"What makes you think i'm acting weird?" Amy asked slightly annoyed.

"Well.. You're not chasing me." He whispered looking away with both of his palm on his hips while tapping his foot nervously.

"Uh... Sonic. Not because i am not chasing you, it means i am weird." Amy rolled her eyes. "Why? does it bother you?" She smirked.

"What? Bother? Of course not. It doesn't! Not at all! Haha!" He said and laugh nervously.

"Uhuh. I see. Well then if you'll excuse me. I need to go somewhere." Amy said.

As she was about to take a step. Sonic stopped her right on her tracks making Amy look at him curiously. "What is it?"

"Well... I was kinda thinking if i-

"You can't."

Both of them blinked and look at the new intruder. Shadow the Hedgehog was standing right behind them with his arms crossed.
