Wednesday Evening, 6:13PM:
Staring into his hazel eyes Jordan felt a little hesitant. It wasn't the first time they hung out but every time they did it felt magical.
"Tucker just call her and say 'you're my girlfriend now,' then hang up." Tom laughed
"Dude you know I'm not like that. I don't want to seem pushy." The blonde rolled his eyes and took another sip of his foaming beverage.
"C'mon man, I bet she'll act up and be all shy." The British man demonstrated by putting his hands on his face and pretended to blush and stutter then bursting out laughing.
"Fuck off Tom." Tucker seemed annoyed. He wanted real answers and advice but got nothing helpful in return.
"How about you Jordan? What do you think Tucker should do?" Tom turned towards the older man.
"I wouldn't know. I still sorting out my own problems." Jordan laughed it off and gripped his glass harder.
"Fair enough. Well let's get out of this joint, I still want to walk down the park we saw earlier." Tom stood up and the two others followed.
The group left the restaurant and started making their way down to the waterfront where the docks were, making jokes along the way.
"Hey Tucker watch this," Tom put a hand on Jordan's shoulder. "Hey baby, you're my boyfriend now."
Jordan's heart stirred. Wretched with confusion and pain he gave a small smile.
"I wouldn't mind that,"
Tom started laughing and pulled away from American. Jordan knew it was a joke. He knew Tom would never have feelings like that for him. What hurt him most was the fact that the Brit knew how Jordan felt about him, and still played with his emotions like they were his toys.
The rest of the walk Jordan stayed quiet. Once they reached the park, Tucker and Tom challenged each other to see how much higher they can climb on the large tree. Jordan sat down on the ground and just watched the two idiots yell and laugh at each other while maneuvering around the oak.
Millions of thoughts and emotions swirled around in his head. The night couldn't get worse.
Wednesday Night, 9:37PM:
The moment Jordan stepped foot back into his own home, silent tears spilled out of his eyes. Jordan confessed his feelings before and Tom kindly declined. They remained friends and didn't let that moment affect their friendship.
Tom was a huge flirt. Jordan didn't mind the proactive jokes and suggestive comments but what he said that night crossed the line.
In a daze Jordan turned the only reasonable person who could help him keep calm, Sonja. He decided to text her.
Jordy: Please help me.
Sonj: Whats wrong?
Jordy: It's Tom again, he used me as a joke.
Sonj: What the hell did he do?
Jordy: He was teasing our friend about his crush and said 'You should just call her and tell her she's your girlfriend now." The 10 minutes later used me as a example.
Sonj: WTF He needs to stop messing with your emotions. You need to confront him about this shit.
Jordy: I know but I wouldn't even know what to say. I wish I never left the house tonight.
Sonj: Look Jordan, I'm really sorry that that shitty situation happened but you really have to talk to him about it.
Jordy: I will. Maybe tomorrow.
Sonj: Definitely tomorrow. Promise?
Jordy: Alright..
Thursday Morning, 8:16AM:
Jordan didn't get much sleep the night prior. His mind was working overdrive. He got out of bed and started getting ready for the day.
He had a conference at 9:30 in regards to his sponsorships and YouTube partners. Jordan couldn't afford to waste his time worrying over emotions.
Thursday Afternoon, 1:36PM:
Jordan didn't want to go home and wallow in self pity so he decided to invite Nick out for some lunch and share the depressing details about his love live.
"Are you fucking kidding me Jordan?" Nick stared in disbelief.
"I know I know." Jordan sighed, his eyes stung from the tears that were threatening to spill. "I'm stupid for letting this stuff get to me."
"No, are you an idiot? Stop letting him do that shit to you. Your emotions are important and he should respect them, not toy with them. Have some more respect for yourself." Nick lectures in anger.
Jordan nodded while the tears streamed down his face. "I'll talk to him later today about it."
Nick went to open his mouth to say something but was cut off by a passerby.
"Hi, my friend wanted me to give this to you." The man set a piece of paper in front of Jordan then walked away.
Nick snatched the paper, scoffed then tore it up.
"What a fucking asshole. He clearly saw you were upset, not only did he thought this was the PERFECT time to give you his number but he didn't even have the balls to do it himself."
Nick tossed the scraps into the nearby bin and stood up. "We're leaving, and you're going to talk to Tom."Jordan reluctantly got up too.
Thursday Afternoon, 3:23PM:
POP
Text from Tucker.
Tucker: Hey I talked to Tom after last night because of all that shit he said.
Jordan: What did you guys say?
Tucker: I think you need to talk to him yourself man.. I'm sorry.
POP
Text from Tom.
Tom: Hey man, I want to be a good friend, not someone who makes life complicated.
Those words stung but Jordan expected it.
Jordan: Yeah. Sorry, I was the one overthinking and making it complicated.
Tom: No need to apologize man, I didn't mean to mislead. I'll be more mindful next time.
Jordan: Thanks, I appreciate it.
Jordan knew he could never be the same around him again. Not after what had happened.
Tom used Jordan as entertainment, and he meant nothing more to him.
Tom could never imagine how Jordan felt, because to Tom it was all a big joke.
