The Goth And The Barbies

First Day

Salem walks into the lunch room of her new school. As she walks over to a table four girls sat down and shot her daggers "You can't sit with us." The one girl says in a snarky tone. "Oh I don't want to." Salem says as she starts to walk to the table behind them. "W-well why not? Everyone wants to sit with us." A girl with long blomd hair, with way to much makeup on asks her. Salem laughs at the girl a little and turns to look at them "I don't like Barbie's" The girls gasp and look at Salem in disbelief. "Emo freak." The queen Barbie says looking at Salem. "Actually I'm good ol fashion goth. And let me guess, daddy donates the most money to this school and you think you own it?" The Barbie giggles and nods "well yeah hehe" Salem laughs and shakes her head.  "See ya later, Rebecca." The girl goes white as a sheet "I-I didn't tell you my name..." Salem smiles again "I know."
"How did you know my name then..." Salem starts to walk away again and the girl grabs her arm " Answer me."
Salem growls under her breath and yanks her arm away. "I just know. "
The Barbies look at her "Hey we never got your name." With a slight growl she says " My name is Salem. " The Barbies laugh "like Salem Massachusetts?" She nods "yes" Once again Salem tries to walk away but the Barbies stop her. "So why did you move to our school?" Salem laughs to her self "I'll tell you if you promise not to tell anyone else" Of course Salem knee the Barbie would scream this to the whole school but she didn't care "oh yeah what ever you tell me stays here. Pinky swear!" "I'm not touching you" The Barbie nods and lowers her hand. "I was accused of cursing my entire school. "
The girls jaws drop and stare at her. Salem laughs again "Well me and my best friend Kai" The Barbies look scared "did she transfer here too?" Salem nods and as the bell rings "hey do you have the school app?  It's for all the students to hangout online after school" "No I don't " "Get it. It's roadway school.com/students. None of the teachers log onto there so it's just for us" Salem nods "I'll download it later" The Barbies giggle and Salem goes to class.
"Why did you give her the school app?'
" Easy. I'm going to tell the whole school she thinks she's a witch."
     
                        After school

After school Salem walks home to find her father sitting at the kitchen table, he looks distraught like he just heard some bad news. "Salem I got a call from the school already." Salem sighs and sits across from her father. " I didn't do anything dad. All I did was talk to some preppy girls." Her father, Ethan, rubs his temples and looks at his daughter. "Sweetie I know you didn't but one of the girls says you hit her." Salem looks shocked and looks at her father.  "Does she have a bruise?!" Ethan shakes his head "no bruise was mentioned to me no."
Salem sighs and grabs her book bag. "I have homework." Ethan sighs and looks out the window. "Three days and she already made an enemy... "
As Salem does her homework she looks out her bedroom window at the moon. "Why did that girl lie?" She asks everything and nothing. The moon shines down on her and she sighs as she finishes her homework. She goes for a shower and wahses off all her makeup. Her mind wanders as she wahses the day away. She yawns as she gets out of the shower and changes into some boy shorts and a black tank top. She sits on her bed and remembers the app Rebecca told her about. She downloads the app and makes an account. When she logs on she sees a post from "Becky88"
"Freak alert!  17, tattoos, ear rings, dyed hair, and thinks she's a WITCH 😂😂 be careful my bees 😘"
Salem reads this and shakes her head. "Didn't take her long." She says as she reads the comments. "Wow a witch?  Lame" "So an emo freak. Got it" "Lmaooooo ok queen bee"
She shakes her head again and closes the app. "Tomorrow is gonna be fun." Right before she goes to bed she has an idea 'I'm going to comment on that post' she logs back on and writes a comment "hey witches aren't real but don't cross me anyway I may not hex you but I can sacrifice you." She posts this and smiles as she closes the app again. "I hate Barbies"

           The next day at school

The next day Salem wakes up at 6 am and washes her face and gets dressed in a red plaid dress and platform boots. As she walks down stairs she hears her dad making breakfast. 'Morning sweetie." She smiles and waves at him "hey dad." They eat before Salem leaves for school. As she makes it to the end of her street her friend Kai comes out and runs a little to catch up to Salem. "Hey Salem" She nods and smiles some "hey." Kai looks a bit concerned and tilts her head. "You ok b? " Salem shakes her head and they walk to school in silence. When they get to school Salem sighs and pulls her hood up over her head. Kai sighs and looks at her friend. "Please tell me what's wrong B I'm worried. " Salem nods and pulls Kai into an empty class room. "Look at this." Salem shows Kai the post from Becky88 and Kai starts to go red with anger. "No one calls my best friend a freak." Salem hugs Kai and smiles. "I'm fine I just have to make it till the weekend. They will party and kill have their brain cells and forget all about that post." Kai nods and let's out a deep breath. "Ok B. Lets get to class"
