The meeting

Salem goes down stairs to her father and takes a deep breath. "Hey dad.." Ethan spind around to see her and looks confused "Why are you home already? " Salem sighs and explains. "Well the preppy girls kept talking over the lesson and I yelled at them. The teacher sent me home..." With a look of fear not so hidden on his face he asks "What else happened?" "The lights went out but I have no idea how. I mean it had to have been a coincidence and bad timing." Ethan sighs once again and sits at the table. "How much of my conversation did you hear?" "Everything from you walking in the door..." She admits. "Who where you talking to? Are you seeing someone?" He shakes his head. "It was your mom... " Salem stares at her father then begins to laugh. After a short while she stops and rubs and shakes her head. "Ok dad sure. You told me mom died. I'll be in my room." Salem walks to her room and closes her door, she sits down on her bed and pulls out her phone. "Mom. Right." She opens her texts and writes a message to Kai
"So my dad just said he was talking to my mom."
"Um what? Didn't she ya know... Die?"
"Yea she did. "
"Weird. I gotta study tho. Gn b. "
Salem lays her phone on the night stand and looks out the window to the setting sun. She smiles knowing she will see the moon soon and crawls out on to the roof of her house. As she watches the sun slowly set she hears someone talking
"I know mom I'm sorry but I needed to see her again. I miss her. I'll be safe some worry. No I won't tell her who I am, ok love you too."
'Wonder who that is' she thinks.
She watches the sky as the moon slowly starts to kiss the night sky. 'Hello my friend' she whispers to the moon. She hears leaves russling under her and looks down to see a girl a little older than her coming into her yard "h-hey can I climb up?" "Sure come on. " The girl climbs the tree and sits next to Salem. "The moon is beautiful tonight." They both smile and Salem nods "I love the moon. My friends know me but she knows my soul." Salem stops talking and looks down thinking she sounds insane. "I feel the same way." To salems surprise the girl understands her statment.
"I'm Octavia by the way."
"I'm Salem. Are you the girl that took up for me on that stupid post?" Octavia smiles and nods "that was me. They didn't have the right to say that about you. I'm sure you're a sweet person." Salem smiled and shakes her head a little. "I'm not." She laughs slightly as she rubs her head.
"Well I'd like to be your friend. I mean those girls can be kinda mean." Salem kids agreeing with Octavia. "Yeah I know. But I don't let it bother me." Octavia smiles at Salem and then looks up to the moon "We all came from the moon. She's the mother of earth." Salem looks at Octavia weirdly. "What do you mean?"
"It's just my belief." Octavia says hugging her knees to her chest. "Ya know, that's a beautiful thought." Salem smiles looking up to then moon. "I should get home. But you can text me on the school thing and give me your number. I'll see you at school tomorrow.
