This isn't as much as much as a well thought out AU as it is a random thought.
What if Shuichi and Ouma died during the first trial and Kaede and Rantaro survived?
And then I imagined a positive, go-lucky Shuichi with completely chilled out Ouma liking grapes (instead of avocados) and a very serious Kaede with a cheeky, lying Rantaro and it ended there
I also imagined that maybe after Shuichi's death Kaede became serious and lost all her positivity and well with Rantaro? I can't really find a reason why he would become a liar
And that's this jumbled mess of a thought.
