Zaia was absolutely beautiful. Not super sexy, not pretty. Beautiful.
She didn't have a cake face of make up, she wasn't wearing her school skirt super short, the top button of her shirt wasn't undone and her tie was pristinely placed.
She was perfect.
Her eyes were hazel, brown with green floating around, and the black ring around them made the green stick out even more. Her above shoulder length hair wasn't just brown, it was dark at the top, getting lighter as it went down. Her lips were plump but not so much that she had a permanent pout and her cheekbones were high and sharp.
Don't even get me started on her body.
Her curves weren't huge but they were just right. Like Leena, she didn't have an hourglass body but her curves dipped in out at all the right places. Dear lord, it's at moments like these I question why I stopped being a fuck boy.
Leena was a popular girl and I was a 'nerd', she wouldn't and doesn't want me.
"Hellooo what are you staring at? Where is the medical room? And can you hurry the fuck up you dumb-arse?!"
"Oh uhm sorry? Let's go," I sighed, no longer in my thoughts.
***
"Ah Mr. Gonzales, it's been a long time since we last saw you, were you doing anything too tiring?" Miss Farrington, the main school first aider, asked me.
"No, it was maths. I guess maybe I was thinking too hard?" I sighed, ending with a questioning tone.
"You haven't been eating much, have you?"
I looked at my shoes, defeated, "No, lo siento," miss Farrington gave me a stern look but as soon as my eyes met hers, it softened. She always did have a soft spot for me.
"Take off your glasses, it'll help calm your dizziness."
I suddenly remembered that Zaia was in the room. Shit.
"But Miss Farrington, I-"
"No buts, take them off!"
She was like my second mother. I couldn't defy her even if I wanted to.
All of a sudden, before she walked over to the other side of the room, she turned, smirked and gave a wink while nodding in Zaia's direction.
I groaned in annoyance. Miss Farrington knew of my bad boy ways, her and my mother were best friends. She knew that there was a big difference between when I had my glasses on and my hair gelled to when my face was bare and my hair scruffy. What she also knew, was that Zaia would like it. I see she's trying to play match maker here.
It won't work.
Just then, Zaia got up from her chair and walked over to me.
"You look good without your glasses," she said, smiling softly. Less than a year ago that smile would have made me pin her to the wall and make her scream my name there and then. But I'm no longer that boy anymore. I can't.
"Thanks, I guess?" I questioned her intentions, why was she being so nice? Usually popular girls like her were rude bitches.
She took my glasses out of my hands,
"Can I try them on?" She asked nervously.
"Uhh sure," I thought she'd look cute in them so why not.
She slid my glasses through her hair and used her index finger to push them up get nose. Again... Wow.
She was absolutely jaw dropping. The thing is, I don't think she was like the rest, not a popular mean girl. Maybe she was different, maybe she would want to be my friend. Who knows?
"Your eye sight is fine, these glasses are fake," she stated calmly.
Mierda. I forgot my glasses were fake. I'm fucked now.
As a reflex, I ran my fingers through my hair out of nervousness.
Mierda. Now the gel is fucked up and my hairs scruffy.
"What's the real reason you wear these?" Zaia was unnaturally calm although I didn't fail to notice her breath hitch as I she scammed my hair. Heck, I was freaking out.
"And why was the first aider so used to you being here? And why didn't Miss Hatchet have to ask what was wrong before sending you to the medical room?" I was bombarded with questions. She's cute when she's curious.
"I can't tell you." Was all I replied with.
"Oh come on, at least tell me why you needed to come here," she pleaded... and I gave in.
What?! Don't judge me! She's too damn beautiful!
"I'm anaemic. And before you say 'Oh em jee a boy?! Anaemic?!' It's natural to happen in both genders, it's just more common in females." I stated, saying the 'oh em jee' bit in a girly voice.
To my surprise, she giggled. It wasn't a flirty seductive giggle, it was cute and gentle.
"I understand."
"Yeah laugh all you wan- Wait what? You understand?" The fuck? I was so confused. No one has ever 'understood'.
"I find it stupid when people think that men and women aren't equal. So what if you're an anaemic guy? I know I don't care. Just because you're anaemic, it doesn't change who you truly are."
I think I'm in love.
"Wow." I breathed out.
"What?" She asked, so clearly clueless as to how amazing she was.
"Has anyone ever told you you're amazing?" I asked her, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear.
She tensed at my touch but slowly softened before tensing again.
"Yes, them guys who wanna fuck me!" She screamed before storming out.
"Well shit," I muttered under my breath. Now she hates me.
A/N:
That went to shit didn't it?
