Part 1: Gunmetal

*13 years later, the red desert, first mission, Shadows POV*

The scent of the armoured truck was of gun metal.

Me, my brother, and three other operators we didn't know, in the back of an MRAP truck as we bustled through the red desert of Australia

It was our first mission with Rainbow Six and we were in the SASR division

The operators around me were pretty interesting.

There was Rayven "Hawk" Jackson.

She was a drone specialist and had a flying one that she sent into battle.

Then we had David "Seeker" Bowman.

His ability was cool.

It allowed him to essentially auto aim with a specialized pistol.

Then there was Parker "Riot" Hackar.

He could set up a strip of crouch cover or use his tower shield to make a single man cover.

Then there is, of course my older brother, Damon "Breakdown" Blisk

David tried making small talk

David: Nice weather out, huh?

We all looked at him weirdly.

Damon: Its Australia. There is only one type of weather here as far as im concerned.

David raised his hands slightly

David: Your right.

Parker: More like two types.

Rayven: Oh yeah? And whats that?

Damon: Burning and dying?

David: No! Burning and Scorching your tail off!

Riot: Nope. Hot carseat buckle and and hot asphalt.

We all laughed a bit.

Except me.

I was deep in thought at the moment.

Damon slapped my shoulder

Damon: Shadow? You alright?

Me: Hmm? Im okay...

David: Ah! Dragons just a bit worried cuz its his first mission! Everyone gets that sick feeling on theyre first time!

Rayven: we all did!

David: I know what'll cheer him up!

Damon: Oh I doubt that! This kids complex!

David: War stories

Damon: Oh this ought to be good

David pointed to himself with his thumbs

David: Ill go first!

He cleared his throat

David: Back in '17, two years ago, I was doing a drug bust via a trap! Had everything set up! I took down about four of the five with my Smartfire, but that last one came up behind me and shot me straight in the ass! Oh that hurt like shit but I finished that fucker real quick! Parker! Your turn!

Parker laughed

Parker: Alright. Here goes. Back in '16. I was doing a mission for SIX. Standard sweep and clear. Went in and got funneled in a hall by some White Mask guys. I set my tower sheild up and used that to peak a bit. Well one of those guys brought an RPG and blew my shield up and I was sent through the wall behind me. Lets go with Rayven.
