Martha pov:

Sitting in assembly we all knew why we were here. The disappearance of Ciára Robertson had spread like wildfire. She was well known around school and out of school. Always trying to be kind and looking out for others, her confidence and fun aura was something that made people feel at ease around her. I wouldn't say we were friends, we had talked a few times but she talked to everyone so I guess that doesn't really count.

"Attention everyone," The booming voice of principle Weilers knocks me out of my day dream.

"As we all know there has been a recent disappearance of one of your pupils. If anyone has information on this please tell the authorities immediately and stay safe. Ciara was last seen two weeks ago leaving one of the shops downtown. Now here is officer Jones to tell you about staying safe."

"Thank you principle Weilers." A young broad man dressed in a police uniform says as he takes the microphone from the Principle.

"Hello everyone I'm Officer Jones. Staying safe May seem simple enough but I'm here just to highlight..." I start to drift off for the next 20 minutes until the dismissal bell goes off.

I walk to class in a blur and sit down in my seat.

"What do you think you're doing?" A voice asks me.

I look up and my eyes widen to the size of saucers. In front of me in all his glory was Luke and Jai Brooks.

"You don't sit there. Move." Luke demands.

"I didn't even notice, I'm so sorry guys I really-" I try to explain.

"Move." He repeats.

I blankly nod my head and rush to another seat. After I have all my stuff out I look around the class. There wasn't really anything special about it, it was just a normal sized room with about 20 desks and 3 large windows on the left wall.

As I look around the room I notice something strange. Neither Luke or Jai are sitting in the seat I was recently in, in fact I'm pretty sure that was Ciaras seat. As I look at the brothers I try to figure out why they wouldn't want me to sit there but I can only see why so many girls try to flirt with them. They're stunning, with their dark hair and piercings.

"Martha!" The teacher shouts. "What is the answer to question 2?"

Shit. Quickly looking at the board I work out the answer. "72 miss."

"Very good but please try and keep your eyes on your own work." She replies.

"I was not cheating miss!" I state.

"Don't back chat me or it'll be the principles office." She hisses.

What crawled inside of her butt and died? Whatever, I decided to stay quiet and not look at anyone else. Okay so maybe one glance wouldn't hurt.

Glancing quickly to my left I notice Jai smirking at me. I tilt my head in confusion and he winks. He then turns his head back to the front of the class and leaves me sitting confused wondering about the small gesture.

Rhylie pov:

The bell had just gone for lunch and I trudged out the class with a gloom look on my face. James wasn't in today, then again he never was anymore. I missed him, I mean I knew we weren't going out but I had the biggest crush on him ever and it was useless he had Morgan. Then again apparently they had split last week but he hadn't been in so no one was sure. Morgan did seem more pissed than usual this past week, her and Lisa actually. Maybe Daniel had broke up with her aswell but what do I know.

Martha came out of class looking tired and blushing. It might have not seemed obvious but we all seen Jais wink. He was a player but I couldn't tell Martha this because she needed the male attention. She was so pretty and didn't even recognise it. I walked past her and casually whispered "Hurry up love bird." She froze and glared at me.

"Shut up, I'm guessing you saw him winking?" She asked. I nodded and laughed.

"I don't get it though, why'd Luke make me move seats? It's not like he sat there. Infact I'm pretty sure that was Ciaras seat! Isn't that weird?" She rants on.

"Babe, calm down. I mean it is kinda weird but maybe he's being kind, in memory of her?" I suggest.

"Since when was Luke sweet like that? Seriously isn't it the tiniest bit weird to you? That they all of a sudden come back after being away and it's the same time Ciara disappeared!" She keeps ranting.

I roll my eyes but notice the Jai and Luke exit the classroom and come in our direction. Martha notices my alarm and quickly asks what's wrong.

"Just stop talking." I say.

"No! I think they had to do with Ciaras disappearance! Seriously did you see Luke glare at me and oh my god Jai winked at me! What if they kidnap me too? I don't want to die Rhylie!" She screams.

"What the fuck did you just say?" Luke's deep voice growls from behind her. We both jump in fright. Luke's glaring at us and Jai just stands behind him looking bored.

"Listen here bitch-" Luke starts but Jai quickly shuts him up by grabbing his shoulder.

"She's not worth it bro." He says.

"Whatever." Luke shrugs Jais hand off his shoulder and storms off.

Jai just huffs in exasperation and looks at us and frowns.

"Now look at what you've done." He mutters and storms off.

Martha looks like she's about to cry.

"C'mon let's go get lunch and find the the other girls?" I suggest. She nods glumly. I throw my arm over her shoulder and we walk to the lunch hall. Heather, Katie and Lucy will be wondering where we are by now.
