Luke knew in the back of his mind that this writing session wouldn't happen. After all, Michael was a busy guy. Between dealing with Calum and running a company, he probably hardly had any free time.

This was fine, anyway. Luke didn't have much free time either. Making appointments and ordering the obscene amount of flowers that Calum requested was taking a lot of time. He had to get most of the planning done before the next meeting with Michael and Calum, which was scheduled for that next Thursday.

Luke eventually found himself thinking about Michael. He wondered what he was doing. Was he with Calum? Was Calum acting like a dick? Luke also started to wonder about Calum. Was he really that awful? There had to be some underlying, childhood trauma that caused him to act that way. Luke, although he hated the way Calum treated Michael, felt like he needed to dig a little deeper into Calum's personality. There simply had to be a good person underneath all those sweater vests and Gucci shoes.

As Luke let his mind wander, he heard his phone go off on the other side of the room. Luke forced himself to stand up from his desk to check his phone. It could have been one of the flower shop owners answering about the wedding.

No, it was a message from an unknown number.

Unknown Number:
hey, this is michael. i found your number online. creepy, sorry, but i just realized that they're doing construction on the building i work at so i don't have work tomorrow so if you're free we could try to write something? if you're busy i 100% get it

"Wow," Luke stared at the message for a full five minutes before he responded.

Luke:
not creepy, my number is everywhere online. and im free after 10:00am tomorrow, so ill take you up on the writing session offer

Michael immediately responded.

Michael:
okay! ill send you the address tomorrow :-)

Luke fell down onto his bed, his face hitting his pillow. He had to remind himself that Michael is getting married. He was taken, and Luke needed to stop listing after him. There were plenty of fish in the sea. He didn't need this one specific, taken, fish.

Luke groaned into his pillow.
