Heartbreak - [COMPLETED]

Mari pov

Marinette held Tikki to her chest running thought the streets of paris. Her pink shoes and bottoms of her pajamas were now stained with the every mud puddle she stepped in.

For some reason she couldn't shake the pit in her stomach as she followed Tikkis directions. Every once in a while she looked behind her for a butterfly or a villian. At the corner of a unparticular street she heard a sound of laughter from the rooftops. Marinette stood her ground but held Tikki closer to her chest.

"W-Who's there!?"

She wait for a solid movement staring at the rooftops of the unparticular building. If it wernt for Tikki being sick she would confont whomever was following her. Pretending to be uninterested she slowly turned to her left and walked around the corner then bolted behind a trashcan in a alleyway.

Flat again the wall she ducked behind a smellt trash pile when she saw a strang shadow jump from one roof top to another. She wanted to say it was her friend and partner she loved so dearly but the purple cracks of the form said it wasnt so.

Marinette slowly got up from the filthy pile and creeped to the corner to peeked her head. Nothing above or below and it seemed that the shadow had passed on.

"I think were safe now Tikki. But how much farther is Chat's kawami?"

"Not much further... just a another.. block... That way."

Marinette avoided the main streets now and stuck to the alleyways for now. Tikkis glowing antennas were now faint but she was almost there she could feel it. It wasnt untill marinette got to a large white wall covered in ivy Tiikis stopped giving directions. Above the green plants was a home gated in and abnormally large. Marineete already knew this home in particular.

"Hes in there..."
"B-b-but This. THIS IS ADRIAN'S HOUSE!"

In her wide panic stance she pointed critically at the mansion lossing her words. She was pratically running out of breath thinking about the love of her life and minou being the same person.Every little quirk abour Chat was really adrian in disguise. Cat puns and all. Oh god what if there children do the puns.

"Oh god... Im in love with chat."

Tikki laughed in her hand but it came out as a short huff. There wasn't anything that Marinette couldnt do. She could leap in a burning building without a shread of fear. She was a superhero of the greatest city on earth she could totally face her long time crush and partner.

Instead of scaling the large wall Marinette decided to walk around to the front gate. There was no chance of anyone being up this late but she couldnt just climb the gate. The entire house was on lockdown with metal panels covering every window and door.

Now this was the part that Marinette thankful for being a creep. On the day of Adrians birthday when she tried to drop of his present on that one ladys desk. She did happen to notice a letter from the security company with four precious numbers to unlock the system temporarily to let in a new member of the family.

She would have to face the music sooner or later and went to the monitor of the right side of the gate. The lump in her throat grew dryer as she pressed each button carefully. When the door opened she jumped at the sudden creak the metal gate made and dashed in.

~Time skip~

Marinette walked in the room with something bundled close to her chest. The bottom of her pants were brown with mud and puddle juice. There was no doubt tracks leading ul to the extravagant bedroom the boys were in. Marinette looked like a strange mixture of scared and excited lookimg from one blond brother to another.

"I-uh. Well you see. Came he.."

Felix looked at the bluenette standing in the doorway of his little brothers room. In the balled lumo of fabric he could see a small red ball breathimg ruggedly in her hands. He has never seen Ladybugs kwami but by the size of the creature it looked about right.

"Adrian. Please go to the bathroom for a second."

"Wha? No Felix. Marinette is my friend i dont want to leave here like this"

Adrian was obviously not getting the seriousness of the situation. If marinette was desperate enough to come here alone in the middle of the night. Especially when there is a prime villian somewhere in paris was not a good sign. Looking back at the girl in the pink pajamas he wondered why she was staring at adrian was a-

A rumble shook the mansion seemingly equivalent to a earthquake below there feet. Marinettes footing slipped up and she fell to Felix for support. There were some books and nic nacks that fell from adrians bookshelves. Adrian felt the need to get out of here and investigate that strange seismic activity. He couldn't just pretend to sleep with Mari so scared and he didnt want to leave her with his brother. So what..

"Felix please."

Marinette pushed off from felix still with that ball of fabric close to her. She walked around the couch to Adrian. Her love and apperent Chat in shining leather. She was extremely embarrassed and confused at her own lack of courage. So instead of overthinking it she just asked the basic.

"Tikkis in danger. Where is Plagg?"

The room went silent.
