Sofia's POV
Stop it Sofia, you can't possibly be falling for him, are you?
I mentally scold myself for maybe the hundredth time since Taehyung took off with Suzy.
What? Just because he seemed genuine and a little nice earlier, you instantly think that everything's okay between the two of you? Why did you even tell him about your engagement in the first place?
"Aish" I hissed, growing annoyed with myself by the minute. Why did I tell him? Why did I trust him so easily?
Whatever, I probably just got caught up in the moment and by his temporary kindness. It wasn't anything, and it definitely isn't happening again. Me and Taehyung can and will never be friends. It just has to stay like that until I graduate, 'cause after that I'll never have to see him again. I can do this.
~~Time Skip~~
"Yeah, I'll be waiting at the front of the main gate Daniel" I said before hanging up to wait for Daniel to pick me up.
I sat at one of the round tables near the gate as I waited for Daniel. Suddenly, I heard someone call my name from behind me.
"Sofia? Is that you?" I turned around and saw Jimin walking towards me.
"Jimin? What are you doing here?" I asked, completely bewildered to see him in my school. Well, not that I'm claiming that he can't be here but, it's just weird seeing him.
"Why? Am I not allowed to be here?" He asked, raising a brow playfully at me while smirking and crossing his arms over his chest.
"N-no, not at all. I meant that it was just weird seeing you here as I didn't really expect to see you here out of all places, not that it's bad, it's just that- " I started blabbing on until he stopped him with a chuckle that made his eyes turn into crescents. Cute.
"You're cute when you blabber" he commented, smiling widely which showed off his eye smile, "but I was just kidding. I'm actually here to pick up a friend who studies here. We're kind of house mates now since he literally can't spend a day without crashing at my place" he explained, laughing slightly, making me nod my head.
"Oh, I see" I replied, half hoping that he would either continue the discussion or for Daniel to show up just so that I wouldn't have to deal with the awkward silence that might follow. It always ends up like that with me, and I'm literally trash with handling it.
"So anyway, what are you still doing here? It's getting pretty late" he asked, unfolding his arms over his chest and holding eye contact with me.
"Well, I just got out of my last class and I'm waiting for my driver to pick me up" I answered, making his forehead crease a bit.
"Huh? I thought you could drive? I mean, the first time we met I remember you were driving a car, you know when you almost killed me" he commented, chuckling a little which made me remember the first time we met when I almost ran him over. Oh God, that encounter....
"Yeah and I'm really sorry about that again" I started, nervously laughing at the end, "but I do drive, it's just that my parents insisted I have a driver to drive and pick me up to and from school everyday" I explained, half lying since I didn't really know how to drive that amazingly. All I knew were the basics that I still remember from my driving lessons which kind of did come in handy that one night, even though I almost ran Jimin over.
"Oh, I see. Say, are you free this coming Saturday?" Jimin asked.
"Uhh, yeah I think so"
"Great, um I just thought I'd ask you if you'd like to hang out. Properly this time" he said, smiling at me.
"Uh, yeah sure I'd love to hang out, but what time?" I asked, already thinking of the possible reasons I could tell my parents as to why I'm going out this Saturday. I'm not usually the kind who goes out on the weekends, so they definitely would raise a brow as to why I'm going out this Saturday, and obviously I can't tell them I'm going to hang out with a friend, let alone a boy. Plus, it also doesn't help that I was grounded by my mom since that night, so what was I suppose to tell them for them to allow me to go out on Saturday?
"How does 11:30 sound? We can have lunch and spend the whole afternoon just hanging out" he suggested, never losing his smile. His smile is cute, but not as cute as Taehyu- wait, stop it Sofia you're talking to Jimin. Get Taehyung out of your head, for God's sake.
"That sounds great" I replied, returning his smile.
"Okay, can I just like, get your number so I can text you and stuff?" He asked, scratching the back of his neck while a hint of pink started to appear on his cheeks. Adorable.
"You already have it" I replied, laughing a bit at his confused yet sheepish expression
"Oh, right, I kinda forgot" he started, sheepishly laughing, "Anyway, I guess it's settled! So, I'll- " Jimin added but got cut off by someone calling his name from behind.
"Jimin! Mian, I just got out from my- " Taehyung started but stopped when he saw me talking to Jimin which made him narrow his eyes a bit, "Uh, you guys know each other?" He asked, looking at me then at Jimin.
"Yeah, we kinda bumped into each other once" Jimin replied, smiling at me a bit which I returned, but a little more tight lipped.
I just seriously felt so awkward right now. I mean, after what happened to me and Taehyung earlier, I just couldn't stand being in his presence at all. One, because of what happened earlier and two, because I don't know why I seem to be so affected with how he just left with Suzy earlier. I mean, did I seriously expect him to brush Suzy off and continue to hang with me? No way.
And, as if the heavens heard my silent plea of help, Daniel finally arrived in front of us.
"Oh, Daniel's here. I guess I'll see you guys around" I said, more towards Jimin since I'm not really hoping to see Taehyung that much after what happened, although I think a part of me still does wish to see him, I just value my pride enough to not admit it.
"Oh, okay. I'll see you Saturday, right?" Jimin called after me.
"Saturday?" I heard Taehyung question silently, his eyes throwing daggers at me, but I chose to not make eye contact and just pretend I couldn't feel his gaze on me.
"Yeah, I'll see you Saturday" I replied, answering Jimin and Taehyung's question, before I hopped inside the car and closed the door.
Once Daniel started driving off I finally let out the breath I didn't even realize I was holding.
"How was school today Ms. Sofia?" Daniel asked, his warm smile calming me a bit.
"Long" I sighed shortly, thanking him silently for not pushing the topic as I'm not in the mood to really talk about it. I mean, I don't even know how to explain everything that happened today.
All I know is that it's exactly what my answer to Daniel was, absolutely long.
