"London! Sweetheart, look at you! You're a beautiful young lady now!"

Lee, our Chinese maid, approached me and hugged me, her arms squeezing my shoulders tightly.

"Oh my dear, dear! I've missed you so much."

I smiled warmly. "Thank you Lee, me too."

We were standing on the entrance of our ridiculously huge house, Lee smiling constantly and begging me to give my bags to her so she could carry them into my room.

"Okay, there you go." I gave my bags and suitcases to her, I got three backpacks, two big suitcases and one big handbag. As soon as she left, my eyes started to scan the house. Everything was pretty much the same, my parents didn't like spending so much time in the house so they like - didn't care about changing the furnitures and all. I took a deep breath while my eyes landing on the stairs.

My room was upstairs. And I was wondering if Mom touched my room after I left.

I quickly went upstairs, I could hear Lee humming a song behind my room's dark blue door. The only door in the house which wasn't white, was mine. The word "MERCURY" was written on it with giant pink letters. I slowly pushed my door, and stepped inside.

Everything was in its original position. Clearly, Mom hadn't touched anything at all. I looked at all the posters on my blue walls, my violin, my Lord of The Rings figures; all of my CDs including Sims 4 and my favorite movies such as The Notebook, The Green Mile, Titanic, Love Actually, The Truman show... and other classics. Everything was in the right place.

 It felt like home. Finally.

"Lee, can you excuse me for a minute? I'm gonna change."

"Okay, my dear. I'm preparing you a sandwich in the kitchen, if you need me." She stopped folding my clothes and quickly exited.

I sat on my large pink couch and started to think about everything... and nothing. I was finally at home, after four years. For the whole summer. I wondered where my friends were. I wondered what was this new chapter going to look like. What was about to happen.

My bedside table has lots of pictures from my childhood on it. I slowly reached the pile of photos, and had a look at them - almost scared. The first photo was me and Mom, we were standing in front of my birthday cake and she was hugging me. I had a huge smile on my face.

And the next photo was even more heartbreaking, me and Ian. We were playing with my dog Susie, who died when I was 14, just before my parents kicked me out of house. I seemed so genuinely happy, I was watching Ian pulling the frisbee out of Susie's mouth. I suddenly started to think about Ian. He was, actually, kinda - my first love or something. I hate to admit this but I always had feelings for him, and just because I was so afraid to tell him, I always felt like I've missed out so many good things... with him. But then I was transferred to Oakwood, never talked to him or seen him again.
