Silly Romance: Hightop.
Being an idol meant that you had to be serious.
A little fun was okay, but you had an image to maintain. People were constantly watching your every move and if you made a single mistake, you could get into a lot of trouble with the public and the company.
This tended to cause a lot of pressure.
In order to free themselves, idols often took up something to help them relax.
Painting, knitting, reading. Some used sports or fighting styles, others wrote poetry. Many people did many things.
For Hightop, it was his girlfriend.
Only his fellow band mates knew about Y/N and he planned to keep it that way for a while. After all, who knew how the fans would react to him having a girlfriend. And the company’s reaction depended in the fan’s reaction.
Hightop wasn’t ready to risk giving her up.
And why would he be?
Y/N was the only person on earth that he could truly let go around.
With her, he could laugh and be an idiot. He could make stupid jokes and do as many stupid things as he wanted. He could be lazy and eat whatever he wanted.
He could be free.
So he kept her a secret.
The other members helped him hide her.
And he got to keep his sweet, silly romance as long as he wanted because what they don’t know won’t kill them.
Hightop thought about these things as Y/N got ready for bed, chatting away all the while. It was one of the occasional nights where Hightop was able to spend the night with her. Falling asleep and waking up with her in his arms was one of the greatest things imaginable.
“Hey, are you okay?”
He looked up and saw her standing in front of him, looking at him with a cute smile.
“Yeah, why?”
“You were just staring off into space. What were you thinking about?”
Hightop took off his shirt and got into the blankets, pulling her along with him.
“Just about how happy you make me feel.” He said.
“Oh, you’re so silly.” Y/N said, snuggling up to him.
And he was.
Because with her, he was allowed to be.
No judgment, no rules, no constant pressure.
Just love.
