365 Roses: Jungkyun
It had been a year since Jungkyun had met the love of his life, Y/N.
It had been a blind date set up by Hightop.
He was in rut, unable to sing, dance, or write songs.
She was getting over a broken heart, after her ex had dumped her.
He hadn’t expected to like her at all.
But the moment she sat down across from him in the restaurant. He remembered her perfectly. The dark blue dress, her long hair pulled into a braid. Her sad eyes light up as they began speak and Jungkyun felt his heart began to lift as the date went on.
They talked and talked through out the night, laughing and enjoying the comfort of the other’s voice. They stayed well close to
When dinner had was finished, he walked her home and asked her out again. And that was how they started.
The memories streamed through Jungkyun’s head as he tried to figure out what to write on the card. What’s the best way to think someone for giving a beautiful light to your life? Obviously, the card wasn’t enough.
And then the idea struck…
Yanking out his cell phone, Jungkyun called the best flower shop he knew and placed one of the craziest orders he’d ever made.
You walked into the apartment that you shared with your boyfriend.
The lights were off and the entire place was stone quiet.
“Jungkyun? Are you home yet?” You called, turning on the lights.
No answer.
You sighed and slipped off your shoes, pulling your hair out of its pony tail.
Today was your one year anniversary with your boyfriend. And while you loved him, you hated the schedule that his company had placed him on. He had missed both of your birthdays and Christmas this year and it always broke him up inside.
He wanted to be there for you.
But they wouldn’t let him.
As you walked to your bedroom, you thought you heard a strange noise. Was that piano music?
You slowly opened the door and flicked on the lights. And the sight in front of you made you gasp in surprise.
There sat your boyfriend on the floor, a keyboard in front of him. And around him were vases and vases full of bright, blooming roses in a vibrant red.
“Jungkyun?” You whispered, looking around.
He stood up smiling and pulled you into his arms.
“Happy first anniversary, Y/N.” he said.
You laughed and kissed him.
“You did all of this?”
“Of course. It’s for you and only you.”
Smiling, you kissed him once more.
“Thank you.”
“No, thank you. For giving me the best year of my life.”
“It can only get better from here.” You said.
