friday can be the worst or could be the best. high school is stressful and there's no other way to put it. my alarm rings waking me from a deep slumber that i wish could've went longer. i get up and put on some ripped jeans shawn's hoodie and my black vans but it seems like something is missing. as i'm stuck in my thoughts my phone starts to ring as i groan "what aaliyah" "not aaliyah" says a voice as i check the caller id "oh hi shawn what's up" "aaliyah's sick and is staying home do you still need a ride" "um yea please and do you have a jean jacket" "i do why" "can a borrow it pleaseee"
"fine i'll meet you outside in 20"

i hang up the call as i finish getting ready i brush my teeth and wash my face and then head down stairs for breakfast. i quickly put two waffles in the toaster because i decided i would bring shawn one. just as the timer went off shawn texted me saying he was ready i head outside with my bag and the waffles and walk into the car "hello gorgeous"he says as a deep blush rushes to my cheeks "hi" i say shyly as he chuckles and i step in the car "for me" he asks as i hand him the waffle "yup now where's my jacket" "right here he says leaning into the back of the car "thanks mendes" "mendes eh" he said as he put his hand in my thigh. i try to play it cool out i was far from it and i was smiling like an idiot. he shakes his head laughing as he begins to drive we pull up to school and shawn follows me to my lockers and his friend brian comes over "aye mendes you got a girl" "not yet bro" i can't imagine the blush on my face as i try to hide it in my locker "don't hide it baby" he says as the butterflies in my stomach go crazy at the pet name i put my head in his chest as i hear his friend whisper whipped to which he responded fuck off. "see you later?" shawn says still holding me tight yea i say letting go "bye honey" "b-bye" i stutter
i go to my classes and this has been the longest day without aaliyah but shawn has walked me to every single class it's finally time for lunch and leave my class and my hand is grabbed i look up and non other than shawn mendes "hey" he said "hi" "thought i'd walk with you to lunch" "glad that's what you decided" i said as he put his arm around my back
we walk into the cafe and get lunch and shawn whispered cute sayings into my ear held my hand and kept staring at me what am i going to do with him?
