Fifth January 2011

"Amelia, get out of bed! You'll be late!" I could hear my dad behind the door yelling and knocking. Today is Monday after holidays which means school. I will not lie to you. I hate it there. Well, who doesn't, right? I know there's a lot of people like me. Having only one friend the whole school sucks but I think it's still better than having a massive group of people that you don't even know.

"I'm awake!" I yelled him back and I sit on my bed. My feet didn't touch the floor because I'm too short and my bed is big. I don't mind. Being short is not that bad as you may think. But I save this for another time. It's time for school. As we all know, we all start it the bathroom, where I do normal stuff like wash my face, brush my teeth, go on a toilet, make my make-up, even I use only mascara and do my eyebrows, mostly I just stand in front of a mirror and I'm watching myself in a mirror and all I can think about is: am I too fat? Too skinny? Too ugly? What's wrong with me?
Hope I'm not alone with this. We all talk about ourselves in a way that we don't deserve and we should be happy about ourselves but... There's still something what we hate about it.

Well, after that I've made myself looking like a human it's time for clothes. I looked out of the window just to see what weather is outside. Today could be sunny but still cold but not that big cold for dresses. I took my favourite one. Black dresses with flowers on it. To make my legs warm, I take black stockings. Nothing special but I love this kind of style. It's so modest and comfortably, I really love it!

When I'm done, I take my things that I need and go downstairs where is my dad. Just one fact; my mom died when I was nine so now it's just me and dad. Dad's trying so hard to make me happy. He works from morning to night just to make enough money for us. I have respect for him how he can take care about girl like me.

"Good morning, dad," I put down my bag and gave him a kiss on his cheek. He just smiled at me but he put down the news papers and started to eat. He always waits for me even I don't eat that much as I should but I'm trying to eat something light for my stomach in the morning. After breakfast is time to go to school and dad goes to work. I say into dad's car but when I looked into a mirror on a car doors, I saw some strange guy standing on the other side of pavement. I've never seen him before. He might be someone new here.

"Are you okay? You seem like you saw a ghost," dad looked at me with a troubled sight.

"No, I'm fine dad. I'm just nervous, you know... School," when I looked again into a mirror, he was not there. How? He could not just walk away that fast.
