"Daddy!" Emma exclaimed as she burst through the door. "Sorry Dad, I tired to tell her that you were busy." I explained, clamping my finger to the bridge of my nose. "It's Okay, we were just on our way out." My dad, Negan, explained as he picked up my four year old sister Emma. "Carl?" I asked, removing my hand from my face. He turned around to face me. "Skye?" "I forgot that you know him. You were in his group for a while right?" Dad questioned. I nodded.
We started walking to drop Emma off with the other children and went to the main area, dad leading in front of us. On the way, Carl grabbed my hand and interlaced our fingers. Everyone kneeled as we walked in and dad did his usual Iron speech. I closed my eyes and leaned into Carl as my dad put the iron to the guys face. He did the Rules Matter speech and came over to Carl and I after we let go of each other. He led us back to his room and I sat down in the seat next to Carl and listened to their conversation. I was kind of listening, but I was in my own little day dream. Carl stood up, clearly trying to scare my dad. He bent down a bit to be just barely above my Dad's eye level. Dad stood up and I followed him with Carl by my side.
My dad sat by the door, Carl sat next to him, I sat 3/4 in Carl's lap and 1/4 on the seat, the the driver sat on the other side of me. Carl rested his hand around my waist and I put mine on his knee. We were driven to Alexandria, and were let in before pulling into our driveway and knocking on the door. Olivia opened the door and we went in. Carl and I went to the far side of the kitchen and I grabbed his hand, intertwining our fingers. Carl looked at my Dad with a death glare and we were forced to give my dad a tour of the house.
Dad opened the door to Judith's room and I flinched, squeezing Carl's hand. Dad took Judith out to the porch and sat in one of our rocking chairs, and Carl sat in the one next to his. I haloed Olivia bring out the lemonade. After a while, dad started shaving before making food. I helped Carl set the table and followed him into the kitchen.
"Why didn't you tell me he was your dad?" Carl asked in a hushed voice. "Because I didn't think it was important." I responded before heading back to the table with food. I sat next to him and our chairs were touching so that we wouldn't be far from each other. No matter how mad we were at each other, we were barely ever apart. He slithered his arm around me when my dad wasn't looking as I put my hand near his knee and rubbed circles on his leg to keep both of us calm as well as keep me from having an episode or panic attack.
While my dad was outside with Spencer, Carl and I were inside , and Olivia was upstairs with Judith. "Why didn't you tell me Negan was your father? Did it not occur to tell us that your dad is the enemy?" "Look, you don't know him like I do, and yeah, he did some pretty messed up things to people, but he's never hurt me. I've been working my butt off trying to change him." I argued. We were called outside as Olivia put Judith down for a nap. When dad started calling people to play with him after he killed Spencer, Carl moved slightly in front of me.
When Arat turned towards us, without a moment of hesitation, I pushed Carl out of her view. Turns out, she didn't want him. She wanted Olivia. Olivia fell backwards onto the ground. Carl crouched down next to her and I backed up with my hands to my mouth. My back hit the porch fence. Carl buried my head in his chest.
"Let's move out!" My dad called. I didn't move. "Skylar! Let's go honey bunches!" I turned around to face him. "No." "What did you just say to me?" "I said no." "What do you think is gonna happen to your little sister?" "Go on ahead. Try and find her. I had her moved far away." "Come on. We're going." "What makes you think I want to go with you, Dad? You killed my friends, you took people from me. You've separated our family. I'm not going with you." "Fine. Just know you'll regret it. I'll see you later my little Daisy." He left. I won. I've never won one of our arguments in my life.

We went to the Hilltop and were let in. I saw Emma emerge from behind a building. I crouched down and she ran to me. "Skylar!" She exclaimed as I picked her up. I rested her on my hip. I walked over to Daryl and Jesus. "Thank you for getting her out." "It was no problem."They started walking up to the main house as I stayed back and told people our plan.
-
We headed into the kingdom. I thought about leaving Emma at the Hilltop but knowing what Jesus told me, I decided to see if King Ezekiel would let Emma stay with him.We walked into the Auditorium where King Ezekiel is. I stood next to Carl and interlaced our fingers. They started debating on what to do while I was thinking about how I would ask to watch my baby sister. When the group started filing out, I walked up to the stage. "Excuse me your majesty. I wanted to know if you could watch over my baby sister. I observed your kingdom as I walked in and noticed how well built this place is. My home isn't safe anymore. Please, allow her to stay, she's only four." I begged. "Of course. I will treat her like my own. I shall see you tomorrow." I bowed and left.
--
They opened the gates and I handed Emma to Daryl. "I'll be back. Stay with Daryl, okay?" I said giving her a kiss on the cheek. I waved goodbye and caught up with Carl. We got in the car and started heading to my Dad's base.
