Once we made it back to my house I parked in the garage and snuck everyone in. Once everyone was out in the backyard I went to go change into my bathing suit. Once I changed into my two piece

I went outside with everyone, they were all in the pool already so I tied my hair up into a messy bun and walked into the pool. Once I was in Ethan swam over to me "Hey uh thanks for inviting us." He said scratching the back of his neck "Yeah your welcome E I just don't know how I'm gonna explain this to my brother haha." "If anything I could take the blame." "Aw Eth you don't have to do that for me I'll just have to do chores and suck up to him so he doesn't take my car keys or phone." I said "Exactly why I could take the blame he can't ground me or take my car soooo." "Yeah but he could make me stop hanging out with you and we wouldn't want that now would we." I said sarcastically. He laughed and said "I guess we wouldn't but come with me cause I wanna play chicken and I want you on my team."

So surprisingly Ryan was cool with it or so I thought cause once I got back to the house after dropping everyone off all hell broke loose "ELENA ESPERANZA PEREZ GET YOUR ASS IN HERE RIGHT NOW!" Great just what I needed after an amazing night with my friends "COMING!" I basically ran to the kitchen and said "yessss?" "You know why I called you in here?" He said "No?" It came out as more of a question then a straight answer "was that a question?" He deadpanned "no." I said "I want your phone, keys and laptop in my office by the end of the night and if they're not in there your in even bigger trouble, you hear me Esperanza." Wow he's really mad he only calles me by my middle name when he's really mad "Ryan come on I just wanted to have a fun night with my friends and you never let anyone over." I argued "This isn't an argument Esperanza you want to give them to me now or later." "But Ryan-." I got cut off "No Esperanza, no buts you went against my rules so you get punished for it." He said sternly "ugh this is so unfair and why I hate living in this house." I said "Well that's the way it is kid hate the game not the player." He said "whatever." I went upstairs and took my old laptop that's broken and put it in Ryan's office same with my old phone what doesn't work and same with the first set of keys that I got for the car. You know I do this every time I get into trouble like this and I've never gotten caught once so yeah as long as I'm home before him park in the same spot and don't use my phone or laptop in front of him I'm okay.
*next day*
I woke up to my door opening and someone shaking me awake my first instinct was to punch them so I did and I probably just got into more trouble then I'm already in whoops "Elena what was that for!?" "Hey that's your own fault for trying to wake me up, what time is it?" I said "about 5 am." "Are you fucking kidding me it's way to early I'm going back to sleep, wake me up when it's 7." I said "No your waking up now or your in more trouble then you Already are especially since you punched me." "Oh my god get out." I snuggled back up into bed and then for the covers pulled off of me and it was freezing all I was wearing was spandex and a hoodie that I stole from Ethan "Ahhhh why'd you do that you whore!" I screamed "Because you need to wake up now Elena." He said "Well brother tough shit I'm going back to sleep I don't care what you say." I said "I'll get mr.bucket." "No, no, nooooo not mr.bucket I'll get up just don't get mr.bucket!" I yelled. Oh if your confused which you probably are mr.bucket is a thing our parents used to get us up with if we weren't getting up in time for school it's basically a bucket with ice cold water and he has googly eyes on him and yeah that's pretty much it. Ryan laughed at me "shut up it's not funny now get out so I can change." "Wait wear some running clothes we're going on a run like old times." Okay I literally hate running now but I haven't had time with my brother like this in a while so I'm taking the opportunity. Once I got dressed I went downstairs to get a water and a protein bar "HEY RY!" "Yeah?" he said coming
closer "are these bars any good?" I asked "yeah they're good they taste like cake." I took one and started eating it and I only got to eat half before Ryan took the other half "hey what was that for!?" I yelled "you don't need that much protein kid." I sighed and said "whatever let's just get going." We started at the house and went like two miles then I basically sprinted the whole way home so I wouldn't be late for school stupid Ryan. I ran inside I took my shoes off and sprinted up the stairs so I could get in the shower. Once I was done in the shower I got on a tournament shirt and the hoodie I wore to bed and some black nike sweatpants a pair of long Nike sox with some slides and I put my hair into a messy bun and put my hoodie on I got my keys phone and laptop and walked out of the house to find that Ryan wasn't here yet so I got in my car and headed off to school.
*at school*
Once I made it to school I parked in my senior spot and met up with my friends "Woah Elena what ran you over this morning." Chris said "Hey don't talk to her like that dude she obviously had a rough night and morning." Ethan defended "Yeah Chris don't talk to me like that." I said then stuck my tongue out like a child and he did the same I waked over to Ethan and hugged him then stayed in front of him while I talked "And yeah I did have a rough morning and night, I got in trouble for inviting y'all over and got all my shit taken then this morning my lovely brother made me go on a two mile run with him knowing I had school." I took my phone out and started scrolling through Instagram "Wait Elena if you got your shit taken how do you have your phone and how is your car parked in your spot?" Chris asked me "Are you really that sped I gave my brother my broken stuff so I could keep the stuff that works and still use it." I said while still looking at the video on my phone "Ohhhhh." He realized "Yeahhh you idiot what's with all the questions this morning dude?" "I don't know I just like to annoy you." He said with a chuckle "ha ha ha shut up and leave me alone." I heard Ethan whisper "Be nice." I rolled my eyes and walked to our first period without them I sat in my usual seat "Hola señora Flores." I said "buenas dias Elena." I smiled and continued to use my phone until the bell rang and everyone started walking in and sitting down. I just put my head down and put my air pods in and tried to sleep because Spanish is really easy to me, I felt a hand on my back I sat up and saw that it was Ethan "Hey sleepy." He said I just looked at him and put my head back down he took one of my AirPods and I sat up and said "give it back E please I don't want to be bothered this morning." I said in a bothered tone "not until you tell me what's wrong Elena." I shook my head and said "just keep it." I put my head back down and took out my wired earbuds and put the other AirPod back in the case then gave the case back to Ethan so he could put the other AirPod in and keep them safe for me. I felt a tap on my shoulder I didn't look up because I knew it was gonna be Ethan " señorita Perez Dime el respuesto para número tres por favor." (Miss Perez tell me the answer to number three please.)I took my earbuds out and said "el Repuesto es internet se llama el red en Mexico." (The answer to number three is internet is called the red in Mexico.) "gracias señorita Perez." I put my earbuds back in and put my head down again I felt another tap on my shoulder and I got took my head off the desk "what Ethan what do you want?" I said "what's wrong, you know you can tell me." "Okay fine what's wrong is that I'm pissed off at my brother for grounding me for having my friends over and that he made me go on a run this morning knowing that I could be late to school." "Elena you know he's just looking out for you right." He said "but he's not though Ethan he just got me in trouble just because he can and I'm fucking tired of him using his power of being my guardian as an opportunity to ground me whenever he wants." He looked stunned at what I just said "I'll be okay though don't worry about me." I said, he mumbled something that I couldn't hear.
