In this scene we will meet the main character and see how she got her beginning. Here we also set the storyline in motion as we watch the young filly grow into a young mare.

(Music plays in the background as the audience gets an overview of the barns and pastures. The next shots are at the barn entrance from the floor. Music quiets down as a person walks in leading a horse into the barn.)
Horse In Stall - Good morning Ellenstasia.
Ellenstasia - (following person into the stall next door) Good morning Shifta.
Shifta - How are you feeling this morning?
Ellenstasia - (turning to face Shifta as the human closes the stall door and leaves) I'm alright. Just cramping a little more today than usual.
Shifta - Well, your foal is any day now. It could be today.
(The camera zooms in on Ellenstasia's stomach before fading to symbolize a time jump. The fade then fades into Ellentasia eating from her food bucket.)
Ellenstasia - (snorts)
Shifta - (turning to look at Ellen) Are you alright Ellen?
Ellenstasia - (laying down in the straw) I think it's time now Shifta.
Shifta - Oh okay. Um, just relax. You can do this.
(Shot changes to the afternoon sun, to represent time passing the sun is seen beginning to go down.)
Girl 1 - We not only run race horses we also own a large amount of broad mares.
Girl 2 - That's pretty cool.
(The girls stop in front of Ellenstasia's stall and the mare lifts her head from her feed bucket.)
Girl 1 - This here is Ellenstasia. She's my favorite. She'll be having her foal very soon here.
Girl 2 - She sure is beautiful.
Ellenstasia - (snorts)
(As girl 2 begins to pet Ellen, a small bay foal walks out from behind the mare.)
Girl 2 - So is she going to have two foals or one?
(Confused Girl 1 steps back over to the stall and looks in at the foal.)
Girl 1 - No way! She had her foal! That baby wasn't here this morning.
Woman - (walking up to the girls) What's going on here girls?
Girl 1 - Ellenstasia had her foal!
Woman - I know. It was born about an hour ago.
Girl 2 - Have you named it yet?
Woman - No. How about you girls name her?
Girl 1 - It's a filly!
Woman - Yes Stacy it's a filly.
Stacy - I win the bet! You owe me a month of chores!
Girl 2 - Well in that case we need a feminine name. So, Soarin is out.
Stacy - You wanted to name it Soarin?
Girl 2 - Yeah. I've always wanted to name a horse Soarin. I wanted to use for the very first horse I ever got to name.
Woman - I'm sure you can change the name up a little to fit her.
Stacy - Yeah. Like......Soara.
Girl 2 - Soarana?
Woman - Soarana it is.
