Eli and Hansen have taken Razer Dash and Soarana out on a ride. Before the ride Eli offered to help Hansen learn to ride better. So, throughout the ride Eli works with Hansen. Soara and Razer enjoy spending time out of the barn and taking a ride off the track.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(The scene opens with an over view of the horses walking along the trail.)

Soarana - It sure is beautiful out here.

Razer Dash - It sure is, and peaceful.

Soarana - Very.

(Suddenly Razer's reins are pulled back roughly.)

Razer Dash - (painfully) Ow! What the?

Eli - Not like that Hansen. Like this.

(Eli gathers the reins in his hands and gently pulls the reins back.)

Eli - This is about as much rein as you need to hold your horse back from his full potential on the track.

(Hansen looks down at his hands and makes an adjustment. Razer feels his head release.)

Razer Dash - (sighs of relief)

Eli - Much better. See how his head is a little looser. It's also easier to release him with a simpler grasp on the reins.

(Razer shakes his head. Hansen smiles as he sees the progress he is making. A quick montage of the group as the ride along. Eli teaching Hansen as they go along.)

Eli - Ready to kick it up a notch?

Hansen - Oh yeah.

(Eli smiles as he give Soara a flick of the reins. Effortlessly the filly enters into a full gallop. Hansen quickly does the same. Razer then kicks into gear.)

Soarana - Whoo who!

Razer Dash - (tossing his head as he catches up to Soara) Yee haw!

Soarana - Wrong time period Razer!

Razer Dash - Says who!?

(Soara begins to pull away from Razer. As Eli begins to talk to Hansen.)

Eli - Try loosening up! Let him take over now!

(Hansen loosens his grip on the reins. Almost immediately Razer seizes his chance. Eli watches as Razer come galloping up to be head and head with Soara.)

Eli - (spotting a fallen tree across the path) Okay rein him in! There's a jump up ahead and were going to fast!

(Eli rushes to slow Soara down. The young mare quickly understands what she's being told. Hansen on the other hand is unable to grab the reins in time before the jump. He scrambles for them and yanks them back hard in a panic. Razer rears in a painful panic as Soara goes blasting past him and takes the jump effortlessly. When Soarana and Eli land on the other side, the look back just in time to see Hansen fall to the ground and Razer Dash come back down to all fours.)

Razer Dash - Man that hurt.

Eli - You alright Hansen!?

Hansen - (getting up off the ground and dusting himself off) Yeah, I'm fine!

Soarana - (turning around to look at Razer and Hansen) You okay Razer!?

Razer Dash - I'll be alright.

(Eli turns Soara around and rides her back over the jump. He reins Soara in beside Razer and dismounts to help Hansen.)

Eli - Should we head back?

Hansen - Yeah. We need to get these two home so that they can rest for their practices tomorrow. Not to mention it's getting dark.

Eli - Agreed. Do you want to walk for a bit?

Hansen - Sure why not?

(Eli turns around and grabs Soara's reins and starts walking back in the direction of which they came. Hansen walks over to Razer, grabs his reins and follows.)

Soarana - What happened back there?

Razer Dash - Hansen yanked the reins out of nowhere. It was rough too. I paniced and made an immediate stop.

Soarana - Oh. I guess I can't really blame you for that one.

Eli - So what caused Razer Dash to do that?

Hansen - It was my fault. I panicked at the sight of the tree and yanked back on the reins instead on doing it gently.

Eli - Well that makes a little more sense. Except why did you panic at the sight of the tree?

Hansen - (embarrassed) Because I don't know how to jump a horse. That's why I ride racehorses because I don't ever have to jump them.

Eli - I could teach you how to jump if you want?

Hansen - No thanks. Exercise rider and jockey lessons are enough. I mean I'm not required to jump a horse. I feel that jumping is something I need to take on by myself. Otherwise I won't feel as though I accomplished a challenge by myself. You know what I mean?

Eli - I get it.

Hansen - Thanks for the offer though.

Eli - No problem. What are friends for?

Hansen - Wait. You want to be my friend?

Eli - Why not? You're a good man Hansen. Why wouldn't anyone want to be your friend?

Hansen - I don't know.

(Eli and Hansen continue to walk the trail back towards the barn with the horses as the scene fades to black.)
