Cody was right, only five or six people from each division survived, and only Nora, Scarlett, Lauren, Jayce, Ryder, Nick, and Aidan were left from Matthew's original team. They were being picked off one by one and Matthew didn't know how to stop it.

"What's the plan?" Matthew asked.

"There is no plan," Jayce replied, "plans don't work against Collinson. We need surprise, we need to be unpredictable."

"This place is crawling with Collinson's men, how are we going to get past all of them?" Matthew asked.

Jayce grinned, "we don't."

"What?"

"We don't," Jayce repeated. "We have to let them think they've won."

"It's a good plan- "

"It's not a plan, it's an idea," Jayce interrupted.

"Whatever, it's a good idea but what if it goes wrong?" Nora questioned.

"What if anything goes wrong, it's a full of risk Nora, you just have to go with it," Jayce replied.

"Jayce is right Nora," Ryder said.

"He's always right," Nora scowled, slightly playful.

They moved along the corridors slowly, Mathew was the only one with a gun so he took the lead. It didn't take long before they ran into guards. "Halt!" one of the yelled, training his gun on the pathetic group of kids.

Matthew stopped, holding his own gun up. Four more guards joined him and Matthew knew it was futile, but that was the plan after all. He lowered his gun with a sigh and help up his hands, "alright, alright! You've got us, you win!"

"President Collinson will be pleased," one of the guards said. "You couldn't evade him forever."

"You'd be surprised," Matthew muttered, hiding a grin.

They were led down the hall and back into the med bay. President Collinson was waiting for them his arms crossed and a malicious grim spread across his face. "Matthew," his grin deepened, "so glad we could be reunited. I was so worried."

"Your concern is touching," Matthew spat.

"I've always been concerned about you. That's all that's driven me, my concern." The sincerity in his words was sharp with genuine but Matthew wasn't fooled.

He laughed, "whatever, what do you want?"

Collinson's smile faded. "My terms are simple, "he said, "You get to choose two people to sacrifice to me, you dismantle the Secret Truth, and you come to live with me. If you fail to do as I ask I will kill all of you and you will live out your days in my dungeon."

Matthew swallowed hard, he knew the threat was genuine. "How long do I have to comply with your demands?" he asked.

"I'll give you an hour. Go back to your dormitories and choose the victims then I will send out the rest of you and scatter you across the globe."

"Why do we have to make a sacrifice?" Nora asked from where she stood beside Jayce.

President Collinson turned to her with a smile, "so I know that I have won and I have power over you. Now go,"

They were shoved back down the hall then into the boy's dormitory. Once the doors were sealed and locked Matthew turned to the group. There was dead silence. Matthew sighed, "okay, I don't want any of you to volunteer, but I don't want to choose either."

"Save your breath, I'll do it," Jayce said.

Horror crossed Matthew's face, "no Jayce, we need you."
