warning: a little bit dark but short

Before I have time to protest, he kicks me with the gun. When I wake up, I'm in a room, some light comes out of the window on my left. Turning my head, I find myself facing Shawn.

-You're finally awake.

-Where am I?

He puts his elbows on his knees to be able to put his head on his fists.

-In a farmhouse, it's pretty cute if you want to know my opinion.

I finally notice that I am in a kind of pyjama and that I am tied to my feet. He gets up and goes to the door, before leaving he looks at me.

-I don't want to kill you, I'll just keep you here for a while, Tom is probably dead plus they will give up and forget you after a few days.

He closes the door, leaving me alone. The first reflex I have is to remove the sheets and look at the chains around my ankles.

After a few days, Shawn's sentence still resonates in my head. I eat and drink enough, they bring me a bucket of water with a towel every day so I can wash myself and they open the window to let the air in. I'm pretty well treated, which is weird when you think about it.

~

George told me I had been here for a month. Time passes rather slowly. I stopped screaming and struggling after the twentieth night. They promised to take me out in two days, which makes me happy.

~

Three months, three months I have lived in this house that is like mine now. They let me free during the day and tie me up at night. I'll see Shawn again soon. The anger hasn't diminished, it's just hiding behind a smile. I intend to finish him off. All I need is one of the knives or a piece of glass.

~

That's confirming Shawn is here in less than two hours. I dropped a drink yesterday, picked up a piece before I told the guards. I'll just have to put it in his chest or throat.

-Armony.

-Shawn.

He smiles at me and sits in front of me.

-I hear you like it here.

-It's true I like it a lot. It's quiet and pretty, a good place for our last days, don't you think?

-You read my mind!

I let the sharp tip slide up my sleeve before having it in my hand.

-Have you any news of Tom?

-Nope maybe he died or maybe everything alright.

I'm tightening my grip on the piece of glass. It's when he turns his head to take something from his suitcase. I don't even hesitate, I give him a kick in the back that makes him turn around. I give him a second one on the chest that makes him trip backwards. Tears run down my cheeks as I cut through his chest several times. Footsteps can be heard in the hallway. I quickly grabbed his gun and shot both guards. After calming down, I go through Shawn's pockets for keys, which I find in his left pocket. Dried blood spots are now on my white shirt and jeans. I drive as if my life depended on it, not knowing how to get back to London, until I find a sign showing the road.

I'm finally going home.
