Nightmare

Heyo :) thanks for reading these guys! Means a lot. I love how all of these can be read as one shots or continuations. I'm gonna try to keep that flow going.

Eddie feels the wind on his face, he knows he's going to hit the water soon but he doesn't care. Venom has formed into some sort of parachute, helping him.

"Venom no!" Eddie screams just before he hits the water. The waters so cold but he thinks about staying under. He just lost Venom. But his chest tightens from the lack of air and by impulse he rises to the surface. Now his chest isn't tight from the lack of air but from his breaking heart as the thought of being in this world without Venom now is the only thing inside his head. 

He scrunches as a loud ringing erupts inside his ears. The ringing gets louder, now it's as if it's surrounding him. The water starts to dissipate. He reaches for it but his fingers touch soft linen instead.

Eddie.

Finally Eddie shoots up in bed, waking from his deep sleep. He's drenched in sweat and his comforter is laying on the floor. Venom materializes in front of him.

What troubles you Eddie?

"It.. it was just a nightmare. I'll be fine." Eddie shifts on the bed, about to get up when Venom grasps his arm.

Eddie. Talk to me.

Eddie sits back down. 

"It was when I thought I lost you.. I didn't want to bare the thought of living without you. You saved me V, in more ways than I can express. My life before you was pointless." 

Eddie. Your life was not pointless. You made mistakes, as does everyone. Even I. But I'm not going anywhere. 

"You promise?" Venom could see tears forming in Eddie's eyes. He didn't like seeing Eddie like this. 

I promise. So why don't we do what humans do when they want to stay together.

"What?" Eddie looked at V with a confused expression, eyebrows knitted together.

Marriage Eddie. 

Eddie made an inhuman sound, staring at V wide eyed. 

"You would marry me?" Eddie's tone a mix of unbelief but also relief at the same time. V took Eddie's face in his hands, pressing their heads together.

I would. If you would have me Eddie.

"I would."
