Today
Today he sits here
Today he waits
Waits for the prey he’s been watching for days
Today he will get his revenge
Put his plan into action
To destroy the life of the person who destroyed his
When he was young
So young and weak
This person used to beat him, kick him, make him bleed
Tell him he was worthless
That he would never be good enough
And that he was never the person’s son
So today is the day
That he’ll show his prey
What a real man looks like
As his prey’s life slips away
“Dear old dad.”
He would like to say
“You made me the man that I am today.”
He smiles down at his hands
The hands that hold his knife
That will take away his prey’s life
To his left he sees his prey
So like a shadow in the night
He creeps up behind
“Dad.” he spoke to the man
There was a look of fear in his prey’s eyes
“My son?” said the man
Before another word was spoken
He raises his knife
And with one quick slice
He ends his prey’s life
His dear old dad lay lifeless on the ground
He can’t help but to feel proud
Today was the day that he took his revenge
Today is the old him died
And a new one begins
Today he be came free
No longer will the past haunt him
For now he’s happy and finally free
A new man he will be
