Kyle, the main character of a fan-fiction?!?!?! It's more likely than you think.

Kyle backstory ft my interpretation of his character

So, thanks to all those people who left really uplifting comments, it made me feel a lot better. My life has been really bad since last December, but no one wants to hear about that. I hope I do Kyle proud.

Kyle had found that Entrapta's idea had done more good than he had originally thought. In fact, it made his self esteem be the highest it had ever been in his entire life, which was pretty great. Sure, it was still pretty crappy compared to everyone else, but this was a start.

Kyle had officially decided that he wanted to join Adora with the Princesses to defeat the Horde. He didn't really know much about what was going on, but he knew that if someone like Adora decided to join the opposing side, it must be very bad.

Not to mention, it would be nice to talk to Bow again. Maybe they could become friends, and he wouldn't be the object of the joke, like most of the time. A bunch of ideas about how exciting, and happy his life would be were running around in his mind, like birds flying to the south for winter.

Kyle's life hadn't been that great, really. He'd never tell anyone this, but he had parents once. He also had a home, and he was unaffected by the war that the Horde had started. He lived with his mother and his father in a tiny little cottage by the sea. It was nice, and he remembered playing around all day, and falling asleep with his parents watching over him at night.

He had a little cat, whom he called Checkers, and they were best friends. Now days, he missed Checkers, his home, and his parents, but he couldn't go back. They didn't want him there anymore.

One day, with no indication of unhappiness or unease, his parents were just angry with him. They snapped at him when he woke up, and they made him go outside all day, with Checkers in the house. It quickly progressed into physical and verbal indication that they did not want him anymore.

So, when the Horde came through that area, they gave him to one of the generals, and he was immediately put into the same squad as Adora and Catra were in. For years, he spent watching everyone and wishing he were just like them.

Until he finally escaped and realized that he was way better being himself. But this doesn't come until later. Kyle just needs to put the pieces together first.
