Yukine didn't knew how long he had stood in the meeting room after Yato had left. He had lost every feeling for the progression of time. Too much was he absorbed in his thoughts. How will he move on?

On one hand he wanted to spend every second he had on the case with Yato, make the most out of the time he had. On the other hand the parting will get harder. It had nearly broken his heart to push Yato away now. How will it be when he let Yato get closer?

At the same time Yukine dealt with the question, if the end of the case will put an end to his relationship with Yato. Even when it won't be for eternity, he wanted to continue it at least for some time.

For this to work out he had to know more about Yato. Was it even possible? Yukine didn't knew if Yato was living in this town. What kind of profession he worked in.

Determined Yukine clenched his hands into fists and left the room. Just because he didn't had the knowledge, it didn't have to stay this way. And coincidentally he knew the right person to help with this problem.

A short glance in the office showed, that his target wasn't alone. He knocked at the frame of the open door and several pair of eyes looked at him.

"Excuse me. Kazuma, can we talk for a moment?" Yukine asked in his most innocent tone and Kazuma seemed to think about rejecting the conversation. Therefore Yukine added a small threat to it. "I heard about Toya and wanted-"

"I'm on my way," Kazuma interrupted quickly, his panic was written on his face despite his effort to hide it. With a few hasty steps Kazuma moved past Yukine and headed for one of the meeting rooms. Luckily not the one Yukine was coming from.

Just as Yukine went to follow him, he heard a voice behind his back. "Another person that knows Kazuma's Achilles' heel." When Yukine looked over his shoulder all members of Bishamon's team acted busy. However a few weren't able to conceal their grins.

-

"How do you know about Toya?" Inside the security of the closed room Kazuma didn't made the effort to suppress his panic.

Yukine held up his hands in surrender. "Your secret is save with me."

Kazuma didn't looked reassured. "Was it Hiyori? Or Yato himself? It was definitely Yato. He loves to tease me about it."

"Yes, it had been Yato. However-"

"I knew it! Yato will pay for this," Kazuma interrupted his colleague. Yukine discovered an obvious intention in Kazuma's eyes that didn't fit for a police officer.

Lost in thought Yukine observed Kazuma, who he slowly started to see as some kind of mentor. It hadn't took Yukine long to figure out Yato's regular for his manga. As he thought about it actively the solution was obvious.

Even though an unusual large number of people work for Bishamon, her inner circle was small. With Yato implying he should know the person there was only one person left in this circle.

Excluding the female persons – after all the manga depicted a hetero relationship – the choice got distinctly smaller. Yukine started his process of elimination with the person closest to himself and immediately had success. Already after one overlooked conversation between Kazuma and Bishamon the answer was obvious.

Yukine pointed in the direction of the table. "I wanted to talk with you. Not about Toya, but about Yato."

Suddenly Kazuma's expression changed. He turned serious, nearly seemed worried. After a moment of hesitation he sat down. "What did Yato do?"

Why did Kazuma ask this question right away? It worried Yukine. "What do you guess?" Yukine asked and sat down in a chair next to Kazuma.

"You don't need much fantasy to imagine it. The way Yato looks at you says everything," Kazuma answered and Yukine didn't knew if he should be horrified by it. He hadn't expected for Yato to show his intent that plainly in public spaces as when they were alone.
