↪MAE SOONG
"There is no way I'm marrying him! I don't want to," I whine.
"I'm afraid that you don't have a choice, sweetheart," Father says while scratching his eyebrow.
I huff. "This is unfair! It's my life, shouldn't I be able to choose who I want to marry?"
I look over at Taehyung who seemed highly unbothered.
"The wedding will be in a couple of days but keep an eye out for a change in scheduling," Father says.
"Why can't I be like Amber? She doesn't have to be forced into marriage and she gets to do what she wants!" I mumble.
Taehyung clears his throat, gathering up his belongings. "Sir, if you don't mind, I have to get going. I have a very important meeting to attend."
He waves his hand, letting Taehyung leave.
I watch as the door opens and closes, wincing as I prepare for my father to start yelling at me.
"Mae Soong, I'm sorry that you're just now hearing about this but this is an executive decision. You wouldn't understand."
I chuckle humorlessly. "You're right, I don't understand that. But what I do understand is that you think I'm one of these proper girls that'll obey her father's every command."
"And you're wrong, Father. I don't always want to listen to you," I finish.
He massages his forehead in frustration. "It's not about how you feel. I said you're marrying Taehyung and that's final."
I groan, marching out of his office.
