diana was strolling home. or, absent-mindedly wading through the busy streets of downtown - however you want to interpret it. currently, she was your typical, broke college student, working part-time to help pay off the numerous expenses that came in the package of a private college.
busy thinking about something or the other, Diana let her mind drift off to numerous thoughts...
what am i having for dinner tonight? is the apartment clean? have the dishes piled up? is pizza hut a good idea after a girls night out? how's callie feeli-and she was close to finishing that thought, when she collided shoulders with a passer-by. it took her an embarrassing few seconds to call back "sorry" after being snapped from her captivating thinking.
trying to remember what she'd been so concentrated on, Diana recollected herself (both physically and mentally) and while so, found herself outside of a café. as she recalled her memories, a better idea sprung to mind.

upon fondling with her keys to the door, diana heard a racket spewing from inside the apartment. what?
from what she could make out, callie and... a distantly familiar voice were having a row about...-diana opened the door to reveal monopoly spewed across the floor, pawns, houses and cards everywhere, and jackie and callie at each other's throats. finn was just about holding them apart, whereas panther, the helpful sweetheart, sat on the sofa, scrolling through his phone. ah, of course.
everyone stopped and stared for a moment.
"what the fuc-" Diana managed before they all stirred up again. fantastic.
"MONOPOLY WAS FUN, THEY SAID! IT'LL BE GREAT, THEY SAID!" diana could make out jackie yelling, and callie screaming something like, "JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE A SORE LOSER DOESN'T EXCUSE YOU FOR FLIPPING THE FUCKING BOARD!"
finn, the poor fox, was clearly on the verge of losing it - but in an overwhelmed sort of way. like he could just burst out crying any second.
"aaalright, you little dimwits, settle your asses down, you'll give me a headache.." diana said pushing the two rowdy women aside and onto the couches. they reminded her of the awful customers from the gameshop... that was the last thing she needed right now.
flicking on the kettle, diana rubbed her temple and tried to zone out the bickering, that appeared to be simmering down, from the opposite side of the room.
"tea, anyone?" and everyone but panther seemed to nod simultaneously. peace offerings were always a go-to in this dorm.
so much for a good idea... diana thought.
